My major complaint was the new Khan. Beebleboop Cumptybum didn't have the physicality or sheer presence of Ricardo Montuban. Never felt threatened by him or sensed anything that would lead you to believe he took over a huge portion of Asia and was a ruthless leader.

On top of that, New Trek Movies (2009+) suck.

That's interesting. I felt the complete opposite. While I loved Montalban as Khan, I couldn't stop thinking of him from Fantasy Island. I thought Cumberbatch added a much needed gravitas that Montalban didn't have. To me, he was the best part of 'Into Darkness', which I thoroughly enjoyed.

But, different strokes and all that. :)

Montuban was scary. He was believable as the hidden hand that moved the Chess pieces of your fate

He was believable as the commander who's crew would gladly leap onto a flaming lion for.

He was believable as the guy who would gut you with a sharpened spoon.

Crumblbum was believable as a shirtless model selling cologne in Abercrombie and Fitch.
