evil_bryan
Guardian Games is having their 10th Anniversary Party on 10/10, and are looking for someone (or someomes) willing to demo Age of Sigmar. They are looking for a time between 10AM - 6PM. You are not required to demo during that whole period. :) Please let me know if you are willing to assist, and we can work out the specific. Thanks!
Threejacks
Humm...ive never formally demo`d a game but could probably do a 3 hour slot from 10:00 to 1:00 or so. Would I just be there to answer questions about the game?...or are they looking for a couple of people actually playing the game and explaining how it works while doing so? Actually I just found out my Wife doesn't work next Saturday so I would be available for any time slot that day:)...not sure if I could handle doing the whole day though, heh.

They are looking for someone to demo the game and answer questions. If you choose a time that works for you, I can pass that on to GG and they can announce it. I think a few hours would be great. We can grab terrain from the club for the table as well.

Norrad
In order to properly demo a game, the contents of the game box set should be fully assembled and painted! Otherwise you are not showing the full potential of the game to potential new players.

Yeah, thats a concern I have..Ive got most of the Stormcast painted from the set,the Relictor and Retributors are still primed blue. However I do have the new Celestant Prime painted. On the Khorne side of things I only really have one model done(Bloodsecrator) though I do have both Realmgates done and the Dragonfate Dias painted. I was thinking of possibly stage painting some of the models for potential new customers to the hobby,,that being showing the base paint, then first layer, second layer and then base highlight. These larger 32mm models are much easier to paint and good for begginers to the hobby and I think the painting aspect can be quite intimidating. This may show that its not really all that hard to get a decent looking model:) Nathan, ill pop you a PM ,would be great if you could make it as well.Your sick painted Nurgle stuff complete with that Pus Pocket Glottkin would make a great example of whats beyond the starter set:)

Norrad
Why are you screaming? Confused??? What are you referring too? I don't have anything in full caps.
Nathanvoodoo
I was joking. It kind of came off like you were saying we COULD NOT possibly demo the game to people because we weren't painted or fully built. It's true. I don't have the AoS starter box built, but I have a pretty darned good looking round based Nurgle army. I think it would attract people. Threejacks
Since AoS is targeted toward new players to the hobby I don't see having a fully painted demo as crucial as if it was just another skirmish/strategy game trying to draw in hardcore wargamers.Actually it may even be somewhat of a benefit as I know for a fact that potential customers,in some cases are turned off immediately by the thought that they feel they would need to paint ALL of the models in the set in order to be able to play the game with a group of people they hardly know. The game is casual and I think the hobby part of it should be too:)

Guest
Mentioned this to a prospective AoS gamer at GG, and they are looking forward to this demo.
