Guest Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Okay, December's Pawn, is an upgrade for Rasputina. This model may treat the Black Joker as the Red Joker. What does this mean? When does it apply? When does it not apply? I'm a bit confused, as most cards which make the player discard cards, are also worded as affecting "this model." Meanwhile, cards which affect the player are also sometimes worded as affecting the Crew. Quote
Mach_5 Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Any time an action or ability talks about "this model", it is the model with the ability or taking the action. So in this case, any time Rasputina flips or cheats the Black joker, she considers it the Red Joker. Absolutely amazing ability, and I don't leave home without it. Quote

So if my opponent flips the black joker against this model in a duel, this model doesn't treat it as a red joker? Quote
Mach_5 Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 No, because she didn't flip/cheat it. If she flips a black joker to attack an enemy, she considers it the red joker, and if she flips the black in a damage flip, she considers it the red. Quote
Guest Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Somewhat confusing literally, but if they are consistent, then I can make sense out of it. Thanks for the clarification. Quote
Mach_5 Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 That's why it says "this model". The enemy isn't "this model", they flip their card and add it to their stat when attacking/defending or compare the card flipped to their damage track when damaging. Granted, it could probably have been more clear and said "when this model flips or cheats..." or something like that, but the result is the same. Quote

I'm happy with the "this model" term as you described it, provided the game uses the phrase consistently (which you said it does). Thanks. Quote
