JMGraham
Say I have an IC who can infiltrate, and have him join a unit in a dedicated transport before deployment. By my read of the rules, it looks like the whole shebang can then infiltrate. Am I wrong? I ask because I'm thinking of a dual purpose 30k/40k Raven Guard army. In 30k, all RG infantry not in terminator armour get infiltrate. My thinking is that an infiltrating IC (chaplain) could join a unit of terminators in a Spartan, and sneak into position. Also, does the infiltrating models can't assault in the first turn rule apply to the first player turn or the first game turn?
WestRider
Unfortunately, one of the very few FAQs GW has released in ages says that ICs with Infiltrate can only Join Units that already have Infiltrate during Deployment. Poor Shrike :P The Assault restriction is the first Game Turn. Used to be the first Player Turn in 6th, but got nerfed further when 7th rolled around. JMGraham
Well, poop. Huh. That does make Shrike pretty useless, no?
AbusePuppy
Shrike is trying really hard to be the worst unit in the game. He has an ability that doesn't work, a warlord trait that does nothing, and equipment that would make a Tactical Sergeant feel undergeared. But it's okay, because he's part of a chapter that has inarguably the worst Chapter Tactic to make up for it.
