What have you got left to paint?I'm thinking I might run Arcanists for Breaching the Faux this year; Fire and Ice. Got a fair bit of work left, but not as much as other factions.The tournament tray I designed and had Dan cut on his fancy laser cutter: models on top with a drawer for tokens, cards, pens, whatevs. The tray fits in the Malifaux bag, replacing one foam tray. 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Then I can go back and make it all fancier and stuff :) Some samples. The bases need more love all across the board. Still not sure what color to make the 'rings' on the bases. Marcalla Posted March 23, 2016 Report Share Posted March 23, 2016 The colored stuffs are pretty cool. They are pretty good at hiding the joint and "non painted" area like the small edges. But those can be fixed pretty quickly with Sharpe' lining in much the same way that I did for my Pirates of the... CCG. I'd be adding them to my choice of outcasts... I already have the Vickies. They would add allot of enforcer choice with the option to go full seven regardless of faction. And those two stones end up meaning allot of upgrade choice when it is impacted by faction declaration. For me it was all or none didn't get enough games in to really care so focused on the couple of holes in my Vickies support choices and nixed painting the seven just for choices. I've been trying to figure what other models to add to my Vik crew once I get them, since nothing really stands out; I might try some of the Seven.I have some decent choices, Lazerus, Bishop, Vanessa, friekorps librarian, Johanna (alt Johan), & some void wretches. Then of course you have the ubiquitous Ronin and some desperate mercs. This should give me allot of tools... Void wretches are fast ish objective guys that can attack buried models (nothing is safe!), Librarian brings some healing but with Vanessa around I don't like it as much... Lazerus shoots well and Vanessa has some synergy there. Bishop is a freaking beast pit fighter always been my favorite and performs way better in second edition! Johanna will give me access to condition clearance which will help in certain match ups, if I can remember/know which ones... AbusePuppy Posted April 26, 2016 Report Share Posted April 26, 2016 I like the Wretches and Librarian, those are definitely on my list; I feel less enthused about Vanessa, but I would have to give her a whirl to say for sure. How have the Mercs worked out for you? I haven't run them yet, but they seem kinda lackluster at a first glance- great if you can somehow trigger the plus flips to attack, but otherwise just a regular dork with nothing special going for them (and Wretches have way more utility.)
