Of the FAQs here, only the Helldrake ones could also apply to KDK Units, and I can guarantee that, if asked, GW would give you a funny look and say that yes, the KDK Helldrakes work the same. The Helbrute Errata specifies that it applies to both, since they hadn't decided to make that change when the KDK FAQ dropped.
