AbusePuppy
The "official" rules for conversions seem to be pretty strict- 90%(?) Wyrd models and no proxies (other than Emissaries/Avatars.) How closely do tournaments in the northwest actually adhere to these rules? I was looking at possibly doing a Dreamer crew that would need a lot of work done to make Lord Chompy, but Wyrd doesn't really seem to have any models that could be anything like an acceptable base for the project. VonVilkee
Depends on who's running it. I've been rocking studio McVey's "beauty and the bot" as my Lazerus for years. I converted it with a GW IG grenade launcher and sword for the weapon. It has gotten the pass at the wet coast gt, through the breach, and anything Mark Hanford or Dan Miner will run.
Mach_5
Yeah I'm pretty lax on proxies, as long as you're adhering to wysiwyg, I don't care where the model came from. I'd much rather people play with models they love and inspire them to play Malifaux!

Ugh, what is the point of gaming if you can't force people to play with super strict rules that make the game less fun?
godswearhats
My general rule on proxies is that it needs to not be confusing. The only time it's ever really confusing is if you're using one Wyrd model to represent another.
