shake/ mix has allot to do with it from my experience.

The matte stuff separates from the varnish. The glossy part flows better so if it isn't mixed well you get shiny without the matte dulling effect. Kinda similar to some of the GW washes.

I bet this is my problem, I was rushing and just barely shook it after it had sat for a really long time.

    I will try again.

  2. I’ve been searching for a good Matt finish for models and bases.

Tonight I airbrushed some bases for my custodes and one of the tints left quite a shine. So I sprayed on some minitaire flat coat

and it still came out glossy.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong with airbrushing a clear coat (it was the first time I have used it)

  3. Something to consider is setting it up in a local community center instead of trying to cram it into a small store.

Oregon City has several venues you can rent for a day pretty cheap such as the Oregon City pool.

They have large community rooms with lots of tables to use.

Charge a small entrance fee to cover it and maybe even cater it so you can keep people there all day.

    Just some thoughts.

  4. I am considering buying the AOS box set for conversion purposes, and will not need some of the figures or the rules.

    I don't want

The Storm cast on the dragon thing

the Khorne boss with chaos hound

    the big Khorne ogre thing

    Khorne fat guy with whip

and of course rules and transfers and such

I would be looking for cash to offset the box cost so wanted to see if there is any interest.

  5. I am not a professional painter, but I'm pretty good imho.  I really want to paint up a set of the Primaris in a bright color was thinking Sons of Medusa, but don't want to start another army as I play Wolves and have another chapter. So I would be willing to paint half the set for ya.

And I probably have some models to donate.

  6. I have some experience casting small items and parts but have not done it in a couple years.

Last time I used Tap plastics quick cast and was pretty pleased with the results.

What I'm looking for is suggestions on the best vendor to buy such supplies.

2 part silicon for pouring molds

and 2 part resin for casting.

    Any suggestions?
