  1. " Moving forward we are going to have to continue to make tough choices about what is in the books and what is not. We don't make them lightly and we (as a team) definitely have robust discussion before committing to leaving anything out a book.""

That is disappointing, but not surprising.

What gets my goat is this whole process of forcing existing players to wait on a glacial release schedule to get the new v4 mid-war army lists.  It stinks of GW.  Just BF trying to convince impatient players to buy and build a new army while waiting for the lists to be released for the army they REALLY want to play.  No thanks.  I can wait another year, but really, the last time I did that with a GW game, I never picked it up again.

  2. Warmaster High Elves Army. Includes New in blister: two (2) units of Spearmen , two (2) units of Archers , one (1) Repeater Bolt Thrower unit , one (1) unit of Silverhelm Cavalry; Also Includes used (mixed bare metal & black primered): seven (7) units of Spearmen , four (4) units of Archers , three (3) Repeater Bolt Thrower units , four (4) units of Silverhelm Cavalry, many hero/character figures including at least two wizards.  Two chariots to use as General and/or heroes.  Hero on Dragon.

Note: some stands of used spearmen figures have broken spears.  AFAIK, no more than one or two per stand.  One strip of Silverhelm cavalry is missing, and I replaced them with mounted hero figures that fit

Will also trade for painting service - see http://www.ordofanaticus.com/index.php?/topic/26063-figure-painter-wanted-15mm-historicals/#entry318539 for what I want painted.

  3. AW ships have plenty of hull and shields, but plenty of attack dice too.  The big difference is all the special abilities granted from upgrades.  Stacking them easily gives a player the power they need to one-shot ships - 8 or 9 dice is not unheard of.  IMO, a X-wing combat involves less dice, and more of a balance of attack dice vs defense dice, so the results are more unpredictable.  AW attacks are more predictable in smashing a ship, so high captain initiative is Critical: shoot first, focus fire on weak ship, kill it before it gets to fire.

AW games I have played/seen are always 2-3 ships per side.  I think 1 ship vs 1 ship would be fairly boring, and would be a predictable victory for the ship with the better initiative.
