There's already an AoS league at GG on Tuesday Nights, which is why WOW doesn't usually see AoS players for their game night. WOW certainly doesn't discourage AoS players from attending, though.

    Sunday group has more potential.

Oh yes there's definitely league nights and all that jazz.  As mentioned in the initial post this would be regarding tournaments.  Specifically one day events; otherwise called Rouge trader tournaments for us veteran wargamers.

Glimpses has regular tourneys monthly for aos and FF is semi regular. outside of our local warhammer hero Jeremy's annual rose city wrath gt at GG and ofcc aos gt we have no other regular occurring tournaments.  There's a big competitive crowd in the PNW but somehow no regularly occurring tournaments within the city limits of Portland.

  4. Cross posted from the Facebook page.

Hey AoS players! There's a severe lack of weekend matched play tournaments in Portland proper. Whose interested in having regular RTTs at WoW? It would be rad to get something going. I got severe burnout but I'd be happy to help whoever can organize!

The email and status for the custodes and Bolter rule are the exact same for the sisters of battle.

My hang up is that these are all beta rules including the errata and faq rules. I understand not being comfortable with not using them and I respect that but I am just curious on how that works with something like adepticon or lvo where they would allow those rules as long as they meet the deadline

And even the weekly league night at guardian with brings in the most 40k players in portland each week has also been playing the rules since day 1.

  6.

Come on out next Saturday for another great AOS tourney. This is a great primer for OFCC!

    No paint requirement

Prizes will scale depending on the number of players. There will be prizes for best general, sports, paint score and up to two raffle prizes.

We are all relatively new to 8th edition, and several people coming to this event are new to tournament play. As such here as some things to bear in mind.

    1. Bring all your relevant rules with you. Bring any relevant FAQ with you, should they exist. These will need to be either in a digital format which is easily readable or print

    2. Models need to be consistently based across the army and be model on the appropriate base shape and size for the unit.

    3. Bring your dice and measuring tape! Seriously,  people forget this sometimes. If you forgot anything thankfully you can buy materials during the event.

    4. Bring all your relevant models, while fully painted isn't required, proxies aren't allowed.

    5. Setting a better example than 7th ed events there will be consequences for cheating or misinterpreting rules to your advantage. Some of us don't fully understand all the rules but there is a difference between what's intentional and not. Any situations will be handed on a case by case basis and if you are consistently caught playing fast-and-loose with the rules this can result in a 0 point score for that event and and exclusion from future events.

    Thanks again, see you Saturday!
