  1. I'm keeping armies that could have roleplay applications, so I'm keeping my Sea Elves.

    For the rest of them:

Homecoming 40K: keeping (purely for nostalgia)

Cathedral Sisters of Battle: on the fence.

Steampunk Chaos 40k: on the fence leaning towards keeping.

    Ratfolk-Corrupted Lizardfolk: keeping.

    Vampires of Razor Bay: keeping.

  2. Not to poke an old thread, but I ran across this while getting organized to move.

This dice bag represents years of fond memories of Ordo and the OFCC. If you have a chance to attend, do it! If you're not sure you can attend, put in the work to clear your schedule - it will be worth it.

  3. Started with the basic stuff: IG and Marines. I'm still just organizing, with the intent to get it to Mindtaker eventually. If there's anything you want there, let me know.

Real basic pictures, too. I may go back for some glamour shots later, but unlikely on this batch.

My Homecoming army is assembled there. Not sure that anyone would want it - and the wife is trying to persuade me to keep it. Whatever happens to it, I want better pictures.

  4. There was a time when I was a fairly prolific army builder (mostly 40K and Fantasy), but about 10 years ago I lost the itch and stopped building. I'm looking to downsize my collection and am looking for some advice on the best way to do that.

I have a number of half-built armies, dozens of 40k vehicles, individual figures not in blister, and a few in-box sets that may or may not have something cherry-picked out of it. I may also get rid of some of my 40K armies, but the fantasy stuff still has value as roleplaying minis. In rough order of quantity, I have Fantasy, 40K, Infinity, Confrontation, Hordes, and a few others. Tons of Reaper and other mini blisterrs, too. Mind you, all of this is at least 10 years old, going back to 20 years old, so none of it is from current versions of the game. I've already thrown away two huge garbage bags of stripped sprues, and could probably fill another.

One idea I've got is to donate it to the Ordo Senate and they can garage sale it, or whatever else they want, and invest that back into the club. I'm not confident the reward would be worth the work, though, as I have no idea how valuable the older stuff is.

Anyways, what do you think? Is there a best way to get rid of this stuff?

  5. I have a longer list than normal, but I think it's acheivable. I'm bringing a mobile surgical hospital themed Empire army.

Build and paint 51 "walking wounded" halberdiers. Includes 6 2x2 unit fillers that will represent the centerpiece of the army; a surgical tent.

Paint 20 greatswords (with a 3x2 unit filler: a Count on a funeral liter)

Build and paint 25 "recovering wounded" swordsmen

Build and paint 10 "funeral mourners" free company

    Build and paint 10 archers

Build and paint 5 horse ambulances, representing knights

Paint 4 knights (I might build new knights, as well).

Paint and finish building the Luminark (50% done with bulid)

Paint and finish building ambulance war alter (80% done with build) with Arch Lector

    Paint Hurricanum

Paint 2 Witch Hunters, 2 Priests, Wizard

    Build and paint Captain BSB

    Paint Captain on pegasus

    Finalize and paint movement trays

    Create and paint movement tray

  6. And I found the memory card for my camera! Here are some mediocre pictures for you.

All of these come from my Gallery, which, admittedly, doesn't have much in it yet. http://www.ordofanaticus.com/index.php?/gallery/album/69-empire-mash/

The Hurricanum: a clever little device that uses electricity to resuscitate the (nearly) dead.

Pistoliers: Those brave souls who ride out into the battlefield to recover fallen warriors.

Captain on a Pegasus: my medical air transport

  8. My first thought was Team Better than Average. HZ's suggestion made me think of Team Second String, which lead to Second String Theory.

On the army front: This is not a new position for me, but less than half my army is assembled and absolutely nothing is painted. I've got some work ahead of me!

  9. Curses! I missed out on most of the league and now it looks like I'll miss the finale. I just got back from a week in Florida and I'm not only extremely tired, I'm not ready for a 2000 point game. Ah, well. I hope to make the Rampage. Sundays just aren't an open day for me, so it's always been hit and miss.

I made it to one night, though, which is a start! And now that I have an OFCC team, I'm pumped to get my army done.

  10. Sorry, gang. I should have gotten back with you sooner, but I was out all last week.

Looks like we have an awesome team coming together. Kremmet, what are you planning on bringing?

    Devo:             Empire

    Rudra34:       Beastmen

    Nephren-Ka:  Ogres

    Kremmet:       ?

Is anyone volunteering to captain this venture? I'd be willing to step up if no one is eager for the job.
