  1. A Stompa, like these little guys? I think I have a bunch of them, but it seems odd to scratch build. Do you mean a Gargant?

    Gargant:

Actually, a bit of both. Stompas to make more unique, only models in the same size and a Gargant for similar reasons.

BTW, how do Gargants and Meganobs scale up against each other?

  2. Well, I've been getting a bit into the 9th Age and wanted to get into Greenskins.

My main requests are for bits (heads and shields preferred, but anytihng's fine) and Orc Boyz, used or new is fine.

    PM Me if you're interested.

  3. Maybe you can convince her to carry Plastic Soldier Company or Blue Moon/Old Glory.

PSC and Old Glory(IE Skytrex), definitely.

Blue Moon, however, is a bit problematic.  I traded in my Blue Moon WWI French for store credit nearly a year ago because they're proportioned poorly and too big compared to other ranges.  They looked like giants with massive spears.

Also more Zvezda 1/100 stuff.  Most of what they've got's 1/72 stuff that's been collecting dust.

  4. 1.5 companies' worth of Panzergrenadiers
    at least 2 AT guns
    6 BF Stugs
    5 PSC Panthers
    5 Konigstigers - BF & Unknown manufacturer

Total asked for in cash- around $100. Prices negotiable, willing to sell individual platoons.
In terms of trade, I just want LW British models, especially guns and transports.

  5. So, after sorting out a force from over a year ago, I have from a pair of "Open Fire" boxes, about 10 Sherman tanks and 3 Firefly tanks.  After consideration, I'm gonna field them as Canadians.  What should I add to my collection to form an effective force?

  6. There's this stuff I stumbled upon in a craft store called "Americana Staining/Antiquing Medium." What I've found is that it gave acrylic paints/inks similar properties to an oil wash, only much thicker. I recommend you get a bottle to experiment with. It's interesting.

  7. Easily my favorite range of miniatures for fantasy. Especially the vintage figures. Often under represented at tournaments. It will be interesting to see if a new book changes this.

I have managed to acquire a fair number of classic miniatures in my collection; my most recent ones being Queen Helgar and the Drunk Dwarfs set. Also, I hope they change the Magic system for the better in 9th Edition.

Anyways, I've been planning on a winter-themed basing scheme. I was inspired to do so by that snow storm back in february.

  8. Here's a bit of backstory:

Around early 2013 I became interested in a Dwarf army.  After making some progress, namely getting my hands on some BfSP minis, a batallion boxset and some used metals and plastics, I ultimately lost interest due to a lack of updates.  Almost a year later, I hear rumors of new Dwarfs and my interest piques yet again.  All in all, I like what the new book brings to the table, with a few exeptions; the Magic Resistance rule has lost any meaning and worth in this edition.  To start up an old army anew, I painted up my first 15 warriors.

I didn't bother basing these guys yet.

    Any feedback would be great.

  9. Hello everyone,

I am looking to purchase Dwarf minis from the old 'Battle for Skull Pass' starter set, primarily I am looking for Warriors.

Models can be in any good condition as long as I can strip paint off of them if the need arises.

In exchange I can bring forth cash or 40k models and bits (especially Space Marines of the Imperial or Chaos variety).

If you would like to arrange a deal in a local games store I can purchase a reasonable amount of miniatures of your choice as long as the store is within the greater Portland area.

    Thank you for your time.
