I would assume that with the changes to Command Points and things like the Loyal 32 no longer being a thing, you'll be able to score with more than just troops, but the latter will still have ObSec.

The salt must flow indeed. My local group is so salty that they'd rather gripe about GW rather than even consider alternative systems like Infinity, Legion, or historicals.

But back on topic, I'm moderately intrigued by the new Necron Warrior gun. I was a little worried about getting them into range before I remembered the decreased table sizes were probably taken into account. If they perform decently, I can convert 20 unfinished old-model Warriors to have them.

Salt is the default state of Reddit, and GW gamers are already salty going in. Even the lore threads are salty, when they aren't telling Erebus to take a long walk off a short pier. I wouldn't put too much stock in the Reddit discussions.

I agree with Xavier, I don't mind the faction restriction in theory, but the timeline is just frightfully short to put it into practice this year. Finding transport for a brand-new army, let alone painting and assembling it, would be tricky with only four months to go.

Poor Overlord Khetesh failing to even damage Calgar and then flying apart like Mr. Potato Head on the riposte is definitely my favorite moment of OFCC!

Second place goes to Khetesh again when he charged Hexbane and managed to tank all four of the six-damage-apiece spear attacks...only to get torn to bits by the OTHER four attacks that monster gets!

The last of the Praetorians and the second Stalker are all set.

The Ark, however, being an outright nightmare to paint, well, we'll just have to settle.

I'm currently waffling between two twin heavy gauss Triarch Stalkers and one gauss and one heat ray. The heat ray is contingent on me being able to get my hands on one, but I'm debating it.

Speaking of, what is the difference between Primary and Bonus Scoring? Do both count towards determining the victor?

And it looks like I'm going to want to invest in some 12" markers of some sort. The hardest part of that mission sounds like it'd be simply remembering that the smoke is there, heh.

I'm the wrong person to ask, owning 40 Immortals myself. But if you're willing to take the hassle of magnetizing them, that picture you shared initially looks like the way to go about it. You'd have to keep straight which guns go to which arms, but it's doable.

Oof. Yeah,  looks like Havocs are going to be pretty brutal, stacking some prayers with strategems and a reroll bubble.

I've heard that it should be a model that you used in the event, but I've also heard that it doesn't have to be. I think of it as a tribute to future generations, as they someday look at all the fallen of the participants.

My theory is that they just painted one squad and copy-pasted them a couple times. It wouldn't be the first time GW has done something like that for their pictures. But your hypothesis is equally likely.

I think you hit the nail on the head here. The Acts we've seen aren't strong enough to gamble on and not reliable enough to trust.

Well, their rant devolved by the third beat to "cheap Guard and Knights are the problem," so I think it was mostly the "free puppies, not kittens" thing pretre was talking about. I'm glad there's no Thousand Sons where I am, though. Those Inferno Boltguns sound horrifying.

Glad to find other people who like the rule. Most of the people I've talked to are salty that there's no AP, that it's not really a buff to Chaos Marines, that all Bolters didn't get this rule. Personally I like the rule; I find it fluffy and possibly pretty effective (not in a position to play my Marines, currently).
