The whole not in the shops = not in the codex is a bummer. I don’t think I would pick up 40k today. I started in 93 and it was a modelers paradise. I am scaling way back and have khorne and Orks. I will probably switch to Orks for next year and see how it goes

I am in north Seattle. I will probably buy a second empire and rebel expansion and sell off the extra bits.
-
I will push 200+ boys out onto the field once the new codex drops.
-
Last night, I plopped down the $200 for the core and 3 faction upgrade sets.
played a three x-wing rebel list last night. second seems better as there are less actions/ bonus actions. I will pay more over the next few weeks to get the real flavor of the game.

chess clocks could work like this if the game didn't finish turn 4 and used the majority of the time you lose.

GW games are about fun and enjoyment. The rules always could be broken. People who need to break them don’t belong in the hobby. Beer and pretzels. If accpect more you are in the wrong game.

I would be interested. We have been going up to Vancouver to have DimSum on Thanksgiving so staying up a few extra days will be fun.

I love honest opponents. Nice when they know your rules better than you, and they don't keep quite about it when it's in your advantage. Good to hear of that in the OFCC.
Who was this honest player? So we can praise them.
Names are hard. It was the eldar player that had every aspect warrior squad and 2 fire prisms

Honest opponent? Or did you just get a chance to read their rules closer?
Honest opponent, but
game 1: they died because they couldn't get out of transport
game 2: took no damage
game 3: dual 3d6 death flamer tau riptide removed them. 1 or 2 didn't matter.
game 4: took a wound went to remove a model and he was like you have 2 wounds

great event as usual. I also feel refreshed and 40k gets a bit sexier after OFCC. even the 2 games, I got shot off the board were fun.
Ordo East will probably replace me with an Ohio player next year so I am most likely on the free agent market.
Or I could build my own team. "Team You're In"

8- 9" charges from deepstrikers during the event. they all failed
game 4 I learned my terminators have 2 wounds.

Well hello there folks! I signed up for this a couple months ago with a buddy and I’m bringing a bottle of scotch! 🙂 I’m all for no cp’s at all and just roll some dice! That way I can bring something whacky. If folks insist on cp’s then I can change up my list to accommodate.
Im all for fun and drinking and whoever we are up against bring your shot glasses.
Cheers
Sam
me and Pumpkinhead have carefully crafted our list and have spent nearly 25 years play testing. 😎

Battle fortress
in Warhammer 40,000
Posted
I put a bid on a forgeworld battle fortress this week then realized that they don’t have matched play rules for 40k. I was hoping to bring a mobile ork army to ofcc but will have to piece together something else.
