  1. So endith my 2018 painting binge. I still have plenty of other things to paint (side eyes on these Primaris and Horus Heresy stuff) but at least I made a good dent in my stack:
  2. It's just my phone's camera so focus can be off sometimes.
  3. 3rd edition veteran assault Marines had yellow helmets. Most of my paint schemes try to follow the 2nd/ 3rd edition theme (black bordered shoulder pads and whatnot). I made some modifications on it like my main company has silver chest plates vs yellow and such. But I've adapted it so that any Battle company Marines get codex standard ( red rimmed shoulders) but have 3rd edition chest eagles (orange/yellow). Gold will probably go on my sternguard since veteran Marine squads used to just have red helmets and stuff.
  4. Rush job vanguard vets:
  5. Heh, yeah that's kind of what I thought. especially since he has a bionic eye which would NOT fit that helmet. Here is yet another man for my pile: Also, I think I've contracted model paint poisoning or something because I've got 12 more guys I am starting tomorrow.
  6. The only thing I would see being worth taxing would be big ticket items like cars and other vehicles. Taxing the little guy is just repugnant.
  7. Yep, can do that. May take me a bit since apparently I have to bypass i-84.
  8. I can agree to that and I appreciate it 🙂 . Definitely want to do the in person real money thing though since I had no idea about the tax thing. I can meet in PDX pretty much anywhere but usually that's guardian games or diceage if you happen to be around the vancouver at some point. Let me know a time and place and I can be there. I do get off work at 5pm though if you need something on the weekday. Edit: yes please. I will include bases for these sisters as well.
  9. It would be an in person meetup even if I transferred via paypal still since it's not a big deal to just visit someplace of their choosing. However I can see how...asinine this make things regarding actually using technology in the year of our lord 2018. Seriously this is something a person who has no idea how the internet works would come up with.
  10. That's gross. Big eyeroll for WA state for that crap. Okay, so here is what I got. 46 paper dollaridoos and 7 silent sisters on sprue (I have 4 frames due to reasons). Do you suppose that would be worth two sets of Custard banana warriors?
  11. As an aside, would you be in the market for sisters of silence as a trade item?
  12. That sounds weird (ie tax on private sales?) But I'll just take the money out and let you know how many Ill need. I for sure have enough for at least one kit but if someone grabs them before me, I'll understand.
  13. My thoughts being I can toss ya the money now and meet up later. Lemme consolidate funds and get back to you. If someone grabs it before I get back to you, that's fine.
  14. Are you able/willing to do PayPal? I'm local to PDX/Vancouver
  15. Thanks! I was originally going to forget the orange off the armor but when I sat and looked at the figure, I just couldn't deal with it. Made the base look dead. So did my best to dry brush orange to at least give some sort of source lighting even though the purity seals would all burn up that close to lava. I'll just say they are animal skin or something that could take a little heat :D.
  16. Got this metal bad boy from our own @pretre
  17. No reference. Just kind of a term like "army men", "dollies" etc.
  18. I'm calling it a relic blade. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
  19. Progress: I have a couple of purity seals I need to go back over as I missed them. I also missed a few purity seals. Otherwise, he's done.
  20. I like his "trucknut" blood drops on his combi-melta arm.
  21. This is the last of my first set of "Summer of painting" dudemans. Next up is a storm raven, a termie captain, termie chaplain, termie librarian, a sanguinary priest and a squad of jump meltagun assault marines.
  22. Petre is probably a bit busy so I guess someone needs to step up 😉 From Warhammer community: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/06/08/the-futures-bright-for-the-age-of-darkness/ The Future’s Bright for the Age of Darkness Exciting times lie in store for the Horus Heresy. Last night, Forge World Fabricator General Tony, and longtime studio veteran Andy, joined us on Warhammer Live to discuss what’s next for the Age of Darkness. As well as answering some burning questions from the community, the guys brought along a couple of tantalising, never-seen-before previews from the next stage of the Horus Heresy – Malevolence. Don’t worry if you missed it – we’ve got the full roundup (and some other teases) for you right here… Malevolence is the eighth Horus Heresy book, set during the investigation of the Signus System and the shadow campaign in the Chondax System. Signus is one of the most important war zones of the Horus Heresy, seeing Daemons unleashed en-masse and Sanguinius’ fateful duel with the Bloodthirster Ka’Bandha. This book will provide both a new perspective on some iconic lore, as well as an exploration of the hidden histories of this dark chapter for the Imperium. Inside, you’ll find rules for new Legion units, an army list for Daemons of the Ruinstorm, campaigns set on Signus Prime and the events surrounding what occurred in the Chondax System. As well as looking at the Blood Angels and White Scars, this book will also include additional content for the Alpha Legion and Space Wolves. Of course, there are loads of new models on the way, too – here’s a sneak peek at just one of them, the Blood Angels Praetor There are more previews on the way, and soon, so stay tuned. If you’re looking to stay up to date with the Age of Darkness, Warhammer Live is planning a regular slot with tactics, previews, interviews and, of course, battles – we know you guys want to see more Horus Heresy content, and we’re happy to provide! You can check these out on Twitch for free by watching live, while for just $5 a month, you can check out the entire back catalogue whenever you like. In the meantime, stay up to date with all the latest Horus Heresy goings-on by following the Forge World Facebook page, and subscribe to the Forge World newsletter for regular updates on news, releases, offers and more.
