  1. Three reasons,

    1) The models before came in blisters that was more expensive to build a unit. So they can say they actually dropped the price.

    2) The WE became core choices and with the CoB become one of the nastiest unit in the game. High demand.

    3) It's GW and they don't base prices on the amount of material, more the demand. They have said this game is a Luxury product and people are paying it.

Chances are they won't sell as well as other units now so when the next price increase happens they will most likely stay where they are to come closer to the other units, kind of.

  2. I am talking about what character is considered to be elite. The most elite named character in the warhammer world. One that is a tough nut to crack. Either by himself or what troops he can bring with him to complete the package.

Grimgor Ironhide. Brings a whole new meaning to the word Pain.

WS8, S7 with S9 on the first round of combat, T5, W3, I5 with ASF, A5!, AS1+ with a ward save of 5+ with Hatred Everybody. Then come the Immortulz.

  3. Once again got a game in and had a great time. The rules feel balanced with movement being more key than weapons. Even then my foot slogging DA still fared well against the Eldar.

I feel Jump Infantry and Jet Bikes are the way to go. Scouts are nice for the infiltrate but their shooting is not great by any means so far. So objective grabbing and number fluffing is their thing.

And a thought just occured to me. I could have been making 'Look out,Sir' rolls. Duh!

  4. This most likely won't happen till Tax Return time but I am thinking ahead.

So I have a DA team, an IG team and enough to build an elite Death Watch or SM team.

But no Xenos. My thoughts are a Dark Eldar team, an Orc team or Chaos SM. Now I know in regular 40k these armies don't look good but lets look at it from a Kill Team angle.

Dark Eldar are quick stealthy and they have several Jump infantry and jet bike options. And the Reavers have Skilled Rider so the heavy terrain is not going to effect them much. Their armor is crap for the most part but cover saves and jinks are going to everywhere. Terrain is going to have to be used to its fullest. My number one choice so far.

Orcs are cheap. Orcs have a huge selection to choose from. Gretchens act as meat shields to Everything behind them! And finally Kommandos and Deffkoptas can be fielded and do some damage. Stormboyz..... nuff said.

Chaos is my last choice though in Kill Team they can do more than hold their own. They really have brought their power level on par with the other Codexes this time.It really is the DV box models and Warp Talons that do it for me. Also I would make the Leader a DA Fallen that has allied with the renegades.

Anyone who has read the HoR Kill Team rules have any thoughts?

  5. Thanks for the advice. Looking through my closet I have a number of games just sitting there. I have the 40th year Risk set with the Metal peices (Bank), Descent 2nd ed, Pathfinder core book and beginners boxset, and minis minis minis, Malifuax, 40K, Fantasy, Dystopian Wars. Even some FoW books left over from selling my minis. I just don't know where to start.

Keeping my Mouse Guard boxset safe for now. That thing has been just gaining value since they discontinued it. (Dumb dumb dumb.)

Got a BSN from Linfield and I don't now how to sell stuff. Kind of funny really. Stupid science degrees. :P

  6. I do think if you had the same listing, but you posted it two weeks earlier, it would have sold much better on ebay. It's because you'd be marketing to a crowd that had x-mas presents in mind.

    -Pax

Very likely. Just way underwater right now and my minis are like a backup for hard times like these and seeing that fail means I am still behind.

Just another 'liveable wage' thing. It will pass.

  7. Most items in good condition unpainted generally goes for 60% at least. Seen them go fo 65-70% for popular armies. Poorly painted items go for about 40% on average.

Been buying and selling minis now for 10 years. This is my first time selling on eBay though.

But I am letting it go and going to stick to local sales. And if you check my history here I usually sell my stuff for 45-60% of MSR for good to new in box items. So I generally like to give good deals. I just hate being robbed.

  8. Last seconds some people tried to out bid by mere dollars. Serriously!

PP is dieing a slow death that I am glad to be rid of. The game tables are the most bland things ever. A chess board has more terrain.

Anything more on the board and it will completly ruin their assassination run, which is the only thing that game is about. Boring!!!

  9. Yep. Thought for sure there would be more interest in PP stuff, but really, I had one guy offer me $150 for it before the first bid. First sale on eBay and I am not impressed.

If it goes for $200 I will never sell on eBay again and just give that stupid deal to someone here.

Really disappointing way to end a disappointing year.

  10. So there is just an hour left and a large Rhulic army with 'Everything' one needs to play is there. The lot is worth over $650 retail mostly unpainted with some still in its boxes with OOP Dice tin and dice with OOP tokens too.

And so far 1 bid for $200. The guy is doing to get a total steal.

I knew PP screwed the Dwarves pretty hard but now even this great deal is unwanted.

Done done and done with WM/H forever.
