  1.   I play with a small group of r/l east coast friends,we started it last summer when it went live and have 60`s now but im pretty much the only one that plays it anymore out of our group.

Its a very nice looking and playing game.I like the skill based controls with limited tool bar as opposed to the 30+ keybind EQ/WoW clones out there.

But I have a hard time getting past the bowling alley type of maps that the game has.Even the toolset is pretty limited in scope as to how large an area one can make. But I guess they had to go that route being an MMO were players can actually make content in it.

Ive got some low and mid level toons I run  a bit now and then so if ya want to group up Pax just send me a PM and ill link up with ya ingame.I think theres also ingame voice chat too:)

  2.   Ahh ok..its still a bit confusing though as they state that "

When this option is selected, Buzzgob counts as a Lords

of War choice and an army that includes him may not

select another Lords of War choice."

Also it would be very much like what Pax was stating about his HQ BB variant.

No biggie though..I have a Big Mek boss by the name of "TorkJaw" that ill field with his Escalation Stompa.Hes got a KFF which II would prefer anyway:)

     Thnx for the responces!

  3. I was under the impression you upgraded his Stompa for 300 points. It's entirely possible I misread that though;)

      This is the entry for it under his listing;

    "Buzzgob’s Kustom Stompa

In games of Warhammer 40,000: Apocalypse, or other

large scale battles, Buzzgob may be exchanged for a Big

Mek Stompa for +300 points (see Warhammer 40,000:

Apocalypse, page 272). Buzzgob’s Big Mek Stompa uses

all of the rules for a Big Mek Stompa and may select any

of the options available to one for the same points cost.

When this option is selected, Buzzgob counts as a Lords

of War choice and an army that includes him may not

select another Lords of War choice."

Now most posts ive read about it seem to be in agreement that its allowing him to be exchanged for the Stompa as a +300 point upgrade over his original 100 pts.If it was an additional 300 on top of the 830 for the Big Mek Stompa then I guess one would be paying 300 points to make the stompa a scoring unit which is not worth it at all.

Some  believe that the intent was for the upgrade to be for the "Kustom Stompa" which is 350 points base with no weapons or gear .This seems to make sense as his Stompa is listed as "Buzzggob`s Kustom Stompa"..but then of course they go on to list the Big Mek stompa so yeah..clear as mud as usual I guess, lol.I would much prefer the Kustom stompa option even with its eventual higher price because you can take Bursta cannons and a lot of other fun stuff with it.

     Also Con,

Stompa`s are all 13/13/12 AV   but they are the only LoW with 12 HP`s I think

  4.   Wanted to get the opinion of those playing in the Planetary Empires event before I settle on my Boss choices for my Ork lists.

BTW  AgentP,great idea having the dedicated named bosses for this:)

Since I`m using the Dreadmob army supplement I`m contemplating using Mekboss Buzzgob as my main warlord. Now Buzzgob on his own is average as far as named 3 wound Ork bosses as he doesn't have an invuln save. His "Mek arms do give him +D3 attacks in the first round of combat and with init 4 are resolved as a big choppa (+2 Str) so he can be a beast in CC but with poor armor save wont last long.

     WS 5/BS 2/S 5/T 5/W 3/I 4/ A 3/ Ld 9/sv 4+

He costs 100 points so about right for what hes got..

Now the big deal about this guy in the new update is that he can take as an upgrade "Buzzgob`s Kustom Stompa" as an upgrade of a mere 300 points!..yes that's a Big Mek Stompa from the recent 40k Apoc book with a base cost there of 830 points for ....300 points. Now I don't know if this is intended epic cheese wheel shat or just a misprint but they have yet to put out any corrections for the army list.

The way it works if one does take the Stompa upgrade is that if the stompa does get wrecked then he is placed on the table on a roll of 5+.Otherwise if the stompa doesn't leave a wreck or the roll is failed then its a warlord kill.

Also Buzzgob doesn't roll on the warlord chart and instead has the "Mek Master" warlord trait meaning that any Deff Dreads or Mega-Dreads within 6" of Buzzgob( or his stompa) count as both Scoring and Denial units..oh and his Stompa counts as a Scoring/Denial unit too...yeah its a LoW and it scores too!

As far as the Big mek stompa goes I think its one of the least favorable Stompa builds especially now that the Kustom stompa is usable as a LoW.

The Big Mek stompa has the Lifta droppa.,,sure it will likely destroy any vehicle it hits but having to hit with BS2 and the target can take covers from it means that you would do well to even get 2 hits in a game.

It has the new Gaze of Mork  60"  str D AP2  Heavy 1---3 Big Shootas and a Mega Claw(titan CC weapon stat line)

It also has the power fields ..the number is determined at the start of the battle by rolling a d6.

20 model transport capacity with up to 10 being able to shoot out hatches.

for an additional 100 points a Deff Kannon can be taken in the belly..thats the Str 10 ap1 massive blast.

With the rules on how we are to play our chosen army leaders for this campaign I would only be able to use Buzzgob every other week and thus only be fielding a LoW every other week as I don't intend to bring a different Stompa and Big mek in the off weeks, they just wouldn't fit in with Buzzgobs boys, heh.

As for my armys "XO" that's going to be a Painboss by the name of" Doktor Klawvorkian" ( ive got a painted up Grotsnick and that's all I can think of when I look at him, heh)

Anyhow..so is this cheap LoW option in the dread list over the top? Should I stick to my other lists using the Stock Apoc Stompa?

  5.  Yup!

The Claws are one of the cool things I love about the Dreadmob list. The Skrap Trukk has a stock one and the Junka can take it as one of the free upgrades(instead of the Defff rolla though)

I brought this up in another thread here but if you do claw a walker then it cant charge or move in any way for the remainder of its turn...so yeah, speed up and claw a LoW and let the stompa get that much closer with the D slappa!

  6.  Been playing since beta. When it released I spent quite a bit of money getting the T54 and getting it tricked out..but really it never did that well for me..as in I sucked in it and with the early renditions of the match maker my overall w/l stunk on most all of my tanks I used to grind up to the T54.

So I took a break of around 8 months after hitting the first 6 mos hard and came back only to play my little pz38t in the low tier fights.Since only playing the one tank in the lower tiers ive maintained its w/l at a solid 56.5% ..and that's in ALL pug fights with around 1500 matches played last I looked.crew is at 100% working on its second skill set too:).And recently my overall just popped above 50% with my overall matches played around 5100.

Its a fun game and easy to wip out a few rounds each day.But from what I found out about clan wars after playing in them with my guild(OTG) its not fun at all.Waay too much r/l money cost to keep up with the repairs and ya pretty much have to shoot gold too be competitive. Not sure how it is now but im not interested in ever trying it again anyway.

I play for one thing only and that's the notch in the W column.Dont care about kills, badges, medals or damage done...got a bunch of em anyway and don't even know how I got em,lol.

Ingame name is rcnjack63...if ya playing the low tiers and want to platoon up hail me if im on:)

  7.   I will likely field my stompa in fights of 1500 points or more.Smaller lists just don't have room for it and I don't want to play a game were I have one big model and a fodder unit lol.

But many of the Baneblade variants are much cheaper than the Stompa so I can see some 1k lists with one:)

Even in the higher point totals Im making non LoW lists for players who don't have one or don't want to fight one.But if I end up playing Tau or some version of Riptide or Farsight bomb they best be ready for some highly regenerative Stompa action!

Other than that Ive decided to keep my IG Alliies out of this scrap and work on playing my Dreadmob lists with occasional ork codex allies:)

  8.   Wondering about the Transport rule for Super heavys..it states that for the purposes of Embarking and Disembarking they are considered "opened topped".

Does this mean that they are also Assault Vehicles as per the BRB(Passengers charging from opened topped transports ,page 82)?

  9.   I briefly looked over the instructions on mine a few weeks back and thought it seemed pretty easy for full magnetizing but yeah its gonna take a lot of mags, heh.

I would go for the Stormlord for the transport capacity.I think its an assault vehicle too?.Eiither way a 40 man blob to the face will certainly cause problems.

  10.   I gather that we can set our point values when battle/tiles are chosen for attack.

I would suggest something in the 750-1000 point range for the first night as we will likely spend time choosing starting tiles and getting setup.

Im just gonna work up lists for 750-2000 in 250 point increments then bring those models:)

  11. "Any shooting attack that originates from outside a Void Shield Zone and hits a target within the Void Shield Zone instead hits the projected void shield"

..Throwin that up there again for my interpretation.

It states "shooting attack" now I know the BRB doesn't have a specific definition of shooting attack but isint it safe to assume that it means when a unit fires a salvo, missle, weapon round etc..that is a shooting attack?.So weapons that are "Assualt 3" actually fire 3 shooting attacks when they shoot right?.

So why does a blast marker even get to the multiple hits part of its resolution when,as a "Shooting attack" it was redirected to the void shield instead?

  12. Ive been following this discussion over at Dakka Dakka about how these things work against blast weapons for the past few days and was wondering how Ordo is going to be calling these rules conflicts for club stuff.

There seems to be two camps on the topic one being those that think a blast template that hits a unit under the VS counts up hits on the number of models under the template then applies them one at a time to the shield to see if the shield gets knocked out.The other camp is of the thought that if a blast plate hits a unit under the shield then the whole plate counts as one hit against the shield regardless of how many models are under the plate.

Now im more with the latter camp mainly because with the former ruling voidshields are practically worthless if you place a large blob of infantry under one and a voidshield is one big shield not an individual shield above each unit under it..or is it?

Maybe some of you rules gurus can lend a more clear interpretation to this?

  13. Ive had fun using the Aegis with grots behind it manning the gun and The Bastion.

Ive tried using lootas in the Bastion with some success but even though 6 lootas can shoot out of the front and back arcs its not too hard for the opponent to get into the flanks of it and nullify them.Grots usually man the gun up top and are there to pop out late game to control the objective that you no doubt place right by the door, hehe. But ive also had the Bastion popped in the first couple of turns sending what was left in it running for the edge.

But yeah I still need to get a Redoubt as that thing looks very promising for the Orks.
