  1. Warhammer Quest: Shadows over Hammerhall is a stand-alone boxed game for 2-5 players set in the splendid city of Order – Hammerhall. Up to 4 players can quest in the catacombs and dungeons below the city, while another acts as game master, setting fiendish obstacles, controlling the antagonists (monsters) and setting the story – it’s up to this player to take charge of revealing the secrets each dungeon has to offer.

The game is fully compatible with the Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower game and the Hero Cards. Any miniatures or rules the customer already owns for that game can also be used in this game. In addition, the game has a lot of replay-ability, as character level up and increase their skills as you play. The box contains 31 miniatures, including:

1x Lord Castellant and Gryph Hound

    1x Cogsmith

    1x Black Ark Fleetmaster

    1x Loremaster

    1x Chaos Sorcerer Lord

    10x Kairic Acolytes

    10x Bloodreavers

    1x 72 page guide book

    1x 32 page adventure book

  2. The getting started guide, its like 8 bucks, goes into basic storyline plus has rules and painting for khorne and stormcasts. Any of the audiobooks are great.

I really like Gav Thorpe's warbeast in the realmgate series (its book 5 i think)

Then you select a grand alliance you like you should get their manual and includes the warscrolls for all models under that banner, except legacy scrolls aka tomb kings etc, as well as basic background information for that alliance, armybooks are more about collecting just a faction of whats available under a grand alliance.

Theres no wrong answer, but start collecting boxes provide a discount on retail cost so if you're on a budget.. And every army doesn't have one yet.

  3. If they had points sure, but how do you balance them..

Also most players are familiar with everyone's units but know little of terrain outside their playtable, realmgate might be known but witchfate tor.. Etc thus rule referencing. Heck I dont own any because the shops usually provide it.

It would make a good painting contest tho..

  4. From white dwarf, and someone with good vision lol

    Hammers of Sigmar

    >required stuff

    - 1 Thunderhead Brotherhood

    >additional stuff

    - 0-1 Lords of the Storm

    - 0-2 Thunderhead Brotherhood

    - 0-3 Thunderstrike Force

    - any number of SC units

Everything get's Lightning Strike if the number of batallions is maxxed out.

    >Abilities:

    - First to be Forged:

    Bravery +1 for everything.

    - Heralds of Sigmar:

When a friendly unit of Liberators is destroyed, roll a d6. On a 6, instead return the unit to full strength and remove it from the table to set up in the Celestial Realm. Next movement phase they can arrive by Lighting Strike.

    - Command Trait - We Cannot Fail

If a friendly SC unit within 3" of the general suffers a wound or mortal wound, roll a d6. On a 6 ( I think), ignore that wound or mortal wound

    Hallowed Knights

    >required

    - 1 Lords of the Storm

    >additional

    - 0-3 Thunderhead Brotherhood

    - 0-3 Hammerstrike Force

    - any number of additional SC units

Everything get's Lightning Strike if the number of batallions is maxxed out.

    >Abilities

    - Only the Faithful:

Roll a d6 for every unit affected by an enemy spell. On a 5+the spell has no effect on that unit.

    - Holy Crusaders:

+1" to run and charge distances.

    - A Martyr's End:

Roll a d6 for every slain model from this batallion that has not yet attacked this phase killed in melee; on a 3+ (I think) it can pile in attack normally before being removed.
