Got 2 great games in last week, looking forward to this week! I actually really like the 4x4 table space also, it makes the action happen much faster and will definitely effect how i build my lists for this league in particular

Hmm.
I havent looked at a hard comparison between them.
I figured if you bring 25 PL and your opponent brings 500pts, you might be able to get in a decent game. This is all theory of course.
I want to give this a shot and get feedback from actual game play in the club.
So if your opponent is game, go for it! Maybe having the two lists would be helpful.
I say that you go over the list you want to play with your opponent and then decide if it is a good fit. Even if it is doubtful and the battle is consensual, then game! And then tell me how it went.
i was wondering this also. I will bring 2 lists just in case then.

making my list now, I have a 4-7pm window so I'll play whoever is there when I get there around 330

Which burger joint? (Research for next year...)
yeap the hotel restaurant, really good imo. and the staff didn't mind being there so that's a huge plus in any hotel for me

100% getting a hotel room next year though lol could have gotten at least 3 more games in if I didn't have to go home and get sleep. only a 12 or so minute drive but still...it's a yea, but still. side note, how great were the burgers in that joint? a touch pricey but worth it all the way, i even had me a beer afterwards.

Schedule of 30k happenings. SO EXCITED!! we will be finalizing the narrative this week also
Saturday- Phase 1: 3 games to establish your foothold in the Urgall Depression
game 1&2 Saturday: deadly ground mission followed by Hammerblow assault.
game 3 Saturday: Phase 1 Legendary mission *CONFIDENTIAL* (this game will heavily effect your overall score for the campaign)
Sunday- Phase 2 & 3: 2 games to pummel and purge as many heretics OR loyalists as you can and make it to the LZ for emergency extraction. Missions for this phase will be determined on Thursday and will remain confidential until Sunday morning ...Depending on how many data slates you uncover on Friday night.....<--- sneaky sneaky :}
Allied Bombardment rules from book 2, page 176 will be in effect for the entirety of Sundays games. 1 table will be the comms center from which the loyalists will be calling artillery from. If you are a loyalist player on that particular table, you will be responsible for holding that facility at all costs.
This is obviously going to be an abbreviated game BUT I will be continuing this campaign and others at Fate and Fury Games in vancouver on Tuesdays and every other Wednesday. contact me here or at the event for details.

Players who finish deploying first, do not automatically go first. Instead, players roll off, and the highest roll gets to chose who goes first. The player who finished deploying first gets a +1 on the roll.
I really like this rule.

its my understanding that friday is open play so if you already have a ticket for the weekend event, you should be good to go.
we have 6 tables with terrain to just play around on all friggin day on friday. you can try a myriad of lists AND/OR play a bunch of 30k skirmish games. I have a couple scenario objectives that will effect the main campaign on sat/sun. they're optional and of small consequence too so you can literally do whatever you want. The floor is open at 8am and I will be there by noon, give or take bridge traffic.
-
VERY MUCH EXCITE!! so I will be showing up around noon to set up, we have 6 tables for our event and not a whole lot of terrain so bring any terrain you would like to use. I am currently calling in favors for some league terrain so we will see how that goes.
Thanks in advance if you plan to bring any terrain!

Infantry, Walkers, and Speeders should be the focus of your army and the following unit are restricted:
Tanks, Fliers, Drop Pods, Superheavies are not allowed.
Bikes, Attack Bikes, Jet Bikes, Artillery, Monstrous Creatures, Leviathan Siege Dreadnoughts are 0-1 choices.Centurion games are played on a 6x4 with more terrain than usual, using Shadow War missions and a points level of 1500-2000 to represent smaller actions, insurgency, and tactical skirmishes.
Should be a fun precursor to the weekends games and a nice and easy way to get reacquainted with 7th edition if you, like me have been playing a lot of 8th since july 3rd.

Pay no mind to the factions represented on the map or the phase 3 areas. I am just borrowing the mission structure and rules from the dropsite campaign. After this event I will however be switching factions and going with Iron Warriors to continue in the ongoing campaign up at F&F.

Ok so I have been running the dropsite massacre campaign from book 2 recently and it will be great for this event. I have all the print outs already and will make copies for the tables.

Junkhouse Entertainment LLC will be giving away a Burning of Prospero and a Betrayal at Calth boxset as prizes. One for best sportsmanship and the other for best overall army (best army will be judged on paint, modeling and theme)
We can only get our hands on a betrayal at calth box but we will give it away for best painted army still.

Zcaust83's escalation league thread
in Warhammer 40,000
Posted
Week 1 has passed with 2 losses for the deathguard. I almost tabled the first opponent but lost on objectives and the second was pretty much the same but I just couldn't cut through the bulk of imperial guard bodies.
The 4x4 area and small point/power level made for a particularly different experience than im used to in my other league but I like it. I will have to change the way my lists are made too which I also like.
My 25PL for week 1 was
Great unclean one w/ his 3 nurgling swarms
7 plague marines
2x 10 cultists with stubbers and autoguns
That was used against a really awesome tyranid army (first time fighting them in 8th) his carnafex slaughtered my cultists who were camping on objective 4 but I believe that was his last model on the table.
Second game i went with a 500 point list,
1x 15 cultists with autoguns
1x 14 chaos (nurgle 'zerkers) w/chainswords and bolt pistols
1x daemon prince (crixus bile)
This list performed better but did not have enough dakka to put down all those conscripts and gurdsman lol really fun game though. I like the only war mission because it can be 3 totally different objective scenarios that you roll on AFTER the objectives have been placed. Pretty neat, i ended up with 2 of the 3 making each game unique.
Anyhow, signing off until week 2. I will try to keep this going.
@DisruptiveConduct my thread is posted good sir.
