Oh man, that looks fun. I can see this game covered with empty Olympia Beer cans and the random Jack In The Box bags as terrain pieces.
I was looking at Polar Fox miniatures and they have a 10mm Grimgor Ironhide. My eyes lit up like a fat kid in a buffet.

Seriously? That's not a bad deal at all!
I was thinking of getting some stuff to make my own board. Or even bring some pieces to a FLGS so there's something besides a barren green field.

If you make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich using Eggo Waffles, would that cover both Breakfast AND Lunch?

I was just watching a youtube video about this. I honestly don't see it going anywhere, its just going to stir the beehive known as GW.

Youtube!
There are really a lot of cool videos for making terrain such as hills and rivers with a broad assortment of material types to work with.
As far as buildings and fences go I am still on the lookout, so I will let you know if I find anything. I had considered making my own fencing, but it sounds like a lot of unnecessary work.
Trees, depending on your scenery climate, can vary. I have been told that after Christmas, you can get really cheap show covered conifer trees from all of the unwanted nativity sets.
You could also look at warbases.co.uk. I was not impressed by the terrain, but if you like something there, andrewgeddon is making an order sometime soon. You would of course have to some how get it from him (Vancouver WA). Would be a good excuse to come down and get a game :D.
Doh! I didn't think to bother with YouTube. Wouldn't places like Hobby Lobby, Johannes, and some various hobby stores (model trains, etc.) be good to look for houses or whatever? I'll have to do some wondering around during the weekend. :0)
Yeah I saw that he was! Wish I could b-line it down to Vancouver but I'm gonna have to pass. I'm hoping to make a journey down there soon though!

While I am sure you have an immediate need, we usually have a few of these every year. I am working to get one arranged for October.
That sounds like a lot of fun. Do you happen to have any photos of these events for someone that is introverted as me?

Can I get any recommendations for places to go to for fantasy setting terrain, or maybe places where I can go to make my own?

Right? I think you're on the right track, but I feel like it has to be sloooooooooower. Like Skepticism, but less Conan and more Thulsa Doom. Maybe something like Void Meditation Cult or Krypts or Teitanblood... hmmm...
Teitanblood or Psuedogod would probably be more fitting to Chaos Dwarves.

Just getting started man! Plenty of medieval metal out there to get me through a KoE army.
Now Chaos Dwarf metal will be a little trickier...
That's a tough one.. Maybe Blackened Death Metal?

I was in Vegas that June as well. Good grief, it was a roaster.
I honestly never knew it could get that hot. I would leave my hotel just to walk into the hotel next door. Even night time didn't make it feel better.
Next time I'll go during February/March, supposed to be a lot cooler.

Couple years ago we went to Seaside to avoid the heat for a weekend... then it breached 100...
You would think being on the coast the temperature would be a little cooler. Sometimes the weather can really throw a curve ball at you.
I was in Las Vegas in June two years ago. Big mistake.. Everyday was 115 degrees.

I have it but have not had good luck with it. I have not played with it a lot but it seemed like I had to reload my Army Systems every time I loaded it... I was probably doing something wrong.
Just take your time with it. Update the registry's so the army lists for the game systems you're playing are up to date. I'm sure you'll get it working alright.

I find battlescribe mobile to be great.
I did buy AB about... 9? years ago. I've probably got my money's worth by now, but I only really use it for tournaments. For others games I just use notepad.
I started using Battlescribe on android and I've been enjoying that.
For OP, I would try Battlescribe on mobile if you haven't. You might find it a better experience.

I've been listening to a lot of Obituary lately. I have just about all of their albums except for their latest album. This track is such a killer tune, the solos almost remind of Cause of Death.

"Minihammer" - 10mm 9th Age?
in Fantasy Battles (9th Age, WFB, etc.)

They all look good. But man, I'm on a roll painting my orcs at the moment. Just about done painting 40 choppaz and now moving onto 32 arrer boyz. I now have 30 Black Orcs, and 3 River Trolls. HUZZAH!!!
Another miniature maker you should check out is Lancer Miniatures, They mainly make 20mm and 28mm but it's a lot of historical armies and they got some cool Orc miniatures that look like oldschool Warhammer Orcs.
