Flames of War and Team Yankee events in the PacNW for Fall 2018

RCDD - Rose City Dukes and Duchesses (Flames of War Ranger Group) will start including Flames of War v4 Mid-War Eastern Front themes and forces in our Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon events.

We will also continue to support Flames of War v4 Mid-War North Africa themes and forces.

For Team Yankee, as our gamers build out Free Nations forces, we will knock together some scenarios to showcase these new nations and their capabilities.

Please communicate on the forum what you want/intend to do and what you are bringing, since now there is so much more terrain and forces to potentially haul around.

Throwing these out as likely events:

1. End-of-August or Early Sep: Eastern Front Armor battle(s) to demo the new Eastern Front books.

• Depends on when the books show up at GG.
• Personally, I already have enough Soviet armor to do this the day that the books arrive.

2. Mid-late SEP October: Hot Zone Hazard: Counterattack at Coesfeld - home-brew scenario where battle is conducted under NBC conditions (in this case chemical weapons). See this: Team Yankee Leopard Week - What About The Nukes? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pkhLdBeCJY

• We could do this twice, once on a Thursday, and again on a Saturday.
• The second go could be different from the first

3. October November: Pavlov's House -Stand or Die! A home-brew scenario to try out the Flames-of-War v4 city fighting battle rules. Probably a Saturday. Maybe a smaller version on a Thursday.

• Need help with the terrain: ruined multi-story buildings

4. October November: Team Yankee. OPERATION MINOTAUR: Team Yankee SCUD raid.  Double-sized battle table (4x12). Light NATO raiding force tries to capture 1-2 SCUD launchers intact and bring them back to friendly lines.  We could do this twice, once on a Thursday, and again on a Saturday.

5. NOVEMBER - TANKS-Giving: TBD

6. December: open to ideas...

I have some JR Miniatures Stalingrad buildings (sold by Novus Design Studio now) we can use.

I'm actually working on some 24. Panzer-division stuff now... don't know how long it will take to get it all done though...

SCUD and Pavlov's house moved out to November, for logistics reasons.

Would like to try the Team Yankee "What About Nokes?" / Hotzone Coesfeld in October
