2/19 Ordo Fanaticus Game Day at W.O.W. Saturday 12pm - 6pm

THE PLACE

Location: 717 SE Main St. Portland OR 97214 (map) - Around the corner from Kokiyo Teriyaki and up the stairs. Cost to play games is $5 for Ordo Members, $2 for Ordo Warlord Champions, and FREE for Emperors! As always, your first Game Night is FREE!

If you're looking to game we will be here. Opting to lay low? Stay home and stay safe, we'll catch you next time.

THE MISSION

Games we play: All, with a focus on Warhammer 40k, Kill Team, Bloodbowl, Necromunda, board games and more.

While it is possible to find a pickup game at Game Night, it is much better to pre-arrange a game before coming down. New players are always welcome, feel free to stop by and check it out.

BUT WHAT ABOUT COVID-19?

Due to the current Multnomah county mask mandate, all attendees must wear masks.  Players are encouraged to spread out their games and avoid congestion. Do not attend game night if you experience any of the symptoms found here. 

GAME NIGHT EXPECTATIONS

If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s taught us we don’t need more stress in our lives. As a result, Ordo is expecting an even greater level of friendliness and fellowship at Game Night than our normal high expectations. Please be aware that as always, the Czar has the ability to ask a player to leave if the Czar feels it necessary. Games are meant to be fun, so let’s have fun!

I'll probably be available and looking for 40k Casual Schemes/Maelstrom Of War or Matched Play; or Oathmark up to 1500pts; or Reign In Hell!

Also interested in Silver Bayonet or Stargrave if some wants to run an intro game!

There’s a small chance I might need to be run around town but I’ll repost if I can’t make it.

Hi, 

A friend and I are interested in playing Warhammer 40k. My friend has some experience playing 40k with a friend group in the past. I, however, have no experience. Would this be an appropriate place for me to learn if I were to come by some time tomorrow? Is there room for us? If so, when is the ideal time to come by?

I've been doing some more reading on 40k tonight. It appears I may need to invest in an army? If I came by tomorrow, would I be totally unprepared? Maybe we can stop by tomorrow and just talk? We don't necessarily need to play. Just a thought!

Unfortunately I can’t make it tomorrow, need to be somewhere mid-afternoon.

@Jabberwock91 in general yeah you’ll need an army but there is a loaner space marine army at the club you could use while you’re there. @ImperialTrooper knows the game well and I imagine could take you through the ropes. And if you’re friend has an army and the core book already then the loaner army would be all you need.

Thanks for the info @Tao Tsê-Mungand @Kampfer! This is very useful information for an interested player like me. I really appreciate it. 

A change of plans, we're not available to play today. However, would it be cool if my friend and I came by around 4:30ish today? Not to play, but to just talk and prepare for another time to come by and get some more info in person. We can talk about all the basics I'll need to be prepared for my first game. It sounds like we'd be talking with you, @ImperialTrooper. If for some reason this doesn't work for you, just let me know. I'll try to check this forum frequently today. Otherwise, We'll show up around 4:30-4:45 to check it out!
