GG league allows unlimited detachments, but no FW rules. 1650 GG league list Daemons CAD (935pts) HQ Prince (MoT, Greater, Warp Armor) HQ Heralds (2) -Herald of Tzeentch (Warlord, lesser, loci of change, disc) -Herald of Tzeentch (lesser, loci of change, disc) Troops Horrors (20) Troops Horrors (20) Heavy Soulgrinder (MoT, Warp Gaze) Skitarii Mantiple (310pts) Troops Vanguard (5, Alpha w/refractor field + arc maul) Troops Vanguard (5, Alpha w/refractor field + arc maul) Heavy Onager Dunecrawler (Icarus Array, Manipulator) Astra Militarium CAD (405pts) HQ Lord Commisar Troops Vets (Demolitions) Troops Vets (Demolitions) Heavy Deathstrike Total 1650pts. Legion of the Damned/TS aren't in the list. Those aren't ready and list is too spendy as is. Will probably get a 4th detachment for them when ready. DP lacks wings because I lack a model with wings for it. Goal is a list that's fun to play, though highly random and mostly self-destructive. Seems like a good start, though certainly a work in progress. Vanguard appeal with regards to Tzeentch warpflame via summoned flamer melee attacks and overwatch shots, plus are required for the Onager. May drop the entire detachment, not sure how well they fit. They are dirt cheap. AM are there for additional insanity, being melee melta bombers and demo charge lobbers. Commy is required HQ. Deathstike is a MUST for this list. I need a model to use as the Greater Daemon of Tzeentch should I get possession for my psyker, so I'll use him there. Always forget about those Exalted Flamers from FAQ - wonderful models, but no reward access. Replaced one flamer unit with 3 exalted flamers. Took the exalted reward instead, for the herald, and dubbed him warlord. Added some "thousand sons." Not quite the MM option that is suggested, but the list is really light in AA. Also, added the astropath. Can't believe I missed that in my initial AM codex read. 25pts for a level 1 psyker. Awesome. Fits right in there with my sentient chaos spawn. So list has 8 psychic dice on the drop, which is decent, but not broken. Should be able to realistically get 1x WC 3 power off on turn 1. Should be completely ITC legal. Not sure I like or dislike it, but it's very interesting. Only actually played a single game with the daemons, but the thing that was very apparent was that the tzeentch are extremely lacking against fliers. Those Tractors are easily the best anti-FMC option in the game, as they can reliably ground FMCs. Not sure I need 9 of them, but that's the list so far. Another player pointed out that I can get the flyer ace rule added to a FMC via Shield of Baal: Leviathan, so I put it on my Warlord Lord of Change (1-2: re-roll failed vector strike wound and armor pen, 3-4 +1 wound, 5-6 +1 invulnerable save and is cumulative). Anyway, looking at 19 psychic dice on turn 1 (full deployment), with all psykers having daemonology access. Should be enough to still cast psychic powers with eldar on the scene. I don't fear per say, but in terms of coping with them, I've found that they are the worst type of enemy to be under prepared for. Most other enemies in 7th you can get by, even if under-prepared for, provided you have a few units that can cope. Mass Flyers are not such an enemy. Especially in regards to Tzeentch, as they have a sheer lack of psychic powers that can actually harm fliers. Daemons in general, have really lacking solutions to enemy FMCs. Beyond that, the Traktors do work just fine against skimmers and are dirt cheap. If and when I get the list operational, I may end up swapping one of the Mek Gun teams with a different weapon. OP list is no longer ITC legal since they decided that come the apocalypse allies are to be banned. I don't think I'm really going to follow through with the orks, or the AM in this list, even though I may come back to this aspect later. I just want to get this guys on the table.
