Flames of War, 15mm historical miniatures for World War II land battles.
This is a special event to celebrate the 71st Anniversary of D-Day, the allied beach assualt landing in Normandy, France, on June 6, 1944.
This will be similar to the opening scenes in the movie "Saving Private Ryan"
We will be re-enacting (in miniature) the Normandy beach landing and the fight through the pill boxes and bunkers.
Setup: 10-11.
Game start: 11:00 AM
Game end: 4:00 PM

looks good to me.  I will have spare armies available for this for new guys to use or old hands wanting to try it out. would be good to have yall chime in on what side you would like to play for this.  Drop ins are welcome as well.

I would fill in anywhere needed (since there are no "real"  Russian units - Ost formations don't count),

but if I have to coose, this is my list of priorities:

1) Germans

2) Canadians (when in the mix)

3) British (they wish they could be Canadians)

4) Americans

 

Armor, mech or infantry does not matter to me.

So wish I could be at this one but it is a drill weekend for me. I have been busy of late with military duty and will be until Aug or so. Hoping to get a game in during June though! Have fun with Firestorm and post some pictures!
