AbusePuppy
Hello, ladies and gents. Matt's Cavalcade of Comics is running its bi-yearly mini-convention here in Corvallis again, and with it we'll be running an ITC Warhammer 40K event on the first day of the con. Due to the limited size of the venue it will be a fairly small event overall, but we hope to get a good crowd. Format will be as follows: 1500pts per player Standard ITC list-building guidelines (available here)- three detachments, limited superheavies, etc Three-color painted/based armies required for prize eligibility Three rounds with random ITC missions (pending the 2016 updates) Limit 20 players Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, best painted Entry for the tournament will be $15, which includes entry to the convention for all of Saturday if you wish to stay after the tournament is over- there will be board games, card games, and roleplaying games running the whole weekend, with many available to borrow from the convention if you want to try out something new. Doors for the con open at 10AM, and we are asking that players be there and checked in no later than 10:30 so that we can finish the tournament in good order; we expect to be finished by approximately 7PM, bar delays. The convention runs until midnight or later (depending on when folks get tired) and for those looking for even more gaming, it is open on Sunday 9-6 as well (though you'll have to pay a token additional cost for the second day.) The con's website is http://www.justagamecon.com/ ; pre-reg should be available in the near future as well as the schedule of events as things progress.
WestRider
Man. I got some hard choices to make. Annihilation, this, and then Storm of Souls, and I am not up to three out of town tournaments in a row.
AbusePuppy
Yeah. I'm doing four tournaments in April, with Wagoncon on the first weekend. It's gonna be cray cray.
AbusePuppy
Unfortunately the organizer hasn't gotten back to me about getting a pre-pay option available online. However, if you are looking to reserve a spot, make a post here (or send me a PM if you prefer) and I can insure that a slot in the tournament is held for you. That aside, the event will be using the new ITC guidelines and missions, though it will be played at 1500pts as already decided.
