MarkDawg
Yesterday we ran our first Bolt Action event using a new format and the players really enjoyed it. I wanted to thank MuGu games and especially Brady Dykgraaf for allowing us to use the game space and be such great hosts! I also wanted to thank Chris Pearson For helping me with mission sheets & score sheets set up and break down. Nicholas Huwe & Keegan Klemm also were a big help in set up and breakdown. The new format throws out Swiss parings and missions are tied to tables and we split the field in to Axis & Allies. In the First round players elect a General and they pick what tables that they think the armies at their disposal will do best on without knowing what player from the other side they will face. In the following rounds the TO sets the match ups. You always play on a different table vs a different opponent and the match up is always Axis on Allied. You add up the wins on both sides and That side wins. We also give out prizes for Best Axis Best Allied Best minor power and best painted. We had a few new players at this event it was awesome to see new players! We had a very narrow Axis victory! Best Axis player Derek Lecuyer He also won best painted with his Beautiful Finnish army! Well done Glad to have you as a part of the community. Best Allied Player John-Paul Mawet With a British Paratrooper operation Varsity list he went 3-0 and played very well. Best Minor Power was Nicholas Huwe With his Italian army he always seem to be at the podium. I hope to see you all at the next event thanks so much for making it a fun day for me. The pics are Derek's best painted Fins!
