i like the idea of using the blog to show WIP or finished products. I love the forums to help brainstorm or figure out how to do something. The blog would also be a great place to tell us about something you want to highlight about the gaming community.

A blog is a good motivator as it makes you slow down and consider how you are working towards your goals.  It also puts it in the public space and works as a kind of accountibility to yourself.  It ultimately is what you want it to be.
