  1. They really learned their lessons about shipping a couple years ago with the GenCon 2E Debacle. I got My shipping notice and 2 days later the product arrived. Meanwhile I had 3 other packeges from rather large established companies (should be better at shipping) that routed packages to Albany then hermiston then to cal and back to Portland. Another arrived and then the shipping note arrived 2 day's later, and the last one was sent a shipping notice at the end of November it arrived 5 days ago.

So all in all wyrd's got it goin on shipping wise. They may not be as communicative but that's cause they are working not sitting around reading emails during the crunch times.

    P.S.

If that firestarter is still roaming around looking for a home I've got a nice Miss Anne Thorpe I can offer in prisoner exchange.

  2. Wyrd started out as a miniatures company. So they tend to make more sculpts for models and as was said above they make small runs as alternate models. Sometimes they are give-aways in packs (ala the malifaux child translucent) and sometimes they are for purchase (nightmare Corypheee), They also do alternates for Local BnM store receipts. To help drive the local markets and community. Which is cool unless your closest malifaux carrying store is 70 miles away. lol.

  3. Pax is right. you can use any of the Avatar models to represent the Emissary. It was wyrds way to include the avatars after realizing they really wouldn't fit into the non campaign game. So you can get the old avatars (for masters put out prior to the "Event" which is just before the ten thunders book if I remember right) And any avatar for any of the models in the faction may serve as the emissary for that faction. So you could say get hottie girl Zorida to be the emmissary for the NB and run with Chompy or Lilith as your master.

Or you could pretty much just use any model you want on a 50 mm base that is not a current Malifaux carded model.

If I remember correctly Justin said they aren't planning on making emissary production models since people have and can get the avatar models. (or it may be that they are going to wait till they have time in the production/modeling cycle).

  4. I generally take other things instead of Kade. He's an awesome model and concept (psychopathic baby with a knife) but being a first book model he suffers from the lack of staying power that plagued alot of minions in that book. Also there are alot of other nice combat models in his price range that have that little something Kade doesn't.

I'm really fond of Teddy so he's My usual go to beatstick, even in Lilith crews. I've not had much experience with the weaver, but My thinking would be either Copp and alps or Weaver and Teddy.

  5. 1 Mach gotcha on that one the rare 1 takes care of multiples of the same type of effegy.

2 you'll wanna check page 65 (srb) for Totems. But in short you may hire 1 generic (a totem that doesn't name a master) or your masters totem. You may only hire 1 totem and unless otherwise specified you can only have 1 totem in play at any given time.

I believe that the summoning a totem has been FAQ'd. The refrence is to Collette hiring a generic totem then summoning doves. When she summons the first dove the non dove totem is removed from play since it now violates the 1 totem rule. (the doves don't violate the rule since Collette may have up to 3 attached at a time, its a semantics thing).

  6. Glad to see you've found the joys of fishing for victims...

Its also good for replacing scheme/strat runners on thier lonesome. Fling a tot out and bingo start removing/placing scheme markers. And most of the "scheme" runners tend to be easier targets for the WP resist. Or better yet, Run your own tots out then changee thier places for even more scheme placement speed.
