Buy it. I Love it. I still have it on my desktop well over a year later. it is one you can come back to fairly easily. Some Warbands do better than others.

I really enjoyed the game. I haven't lost a campaign yet. Took a bit to get the hang of not losing my shirt, but with the knowledge of using Heroes as Assassins has saved every campaign.

The three Grunts are in a fireteam, but other than saying it I don't know if I'm suppose to mark it down in a list somehow.

Okay so to continue the army building question. Grunts have an availability of "Total" while everyone else has a number. Numbers I can handle, but what does "Total" mean ?

Okay so after the practice game I played during Saturday night at OFCC (thank you both by the way... enablers!) On Sunday i went and bought the Adriadna starters pack (from the game store in Sherwood, great little store!) so I got a squad of guys, a map and some buildings and counters. My son was really excited so sat down after I glued the guys together and played a quick game. Way too many questions I didn't understand. So Tuesday my son and I head to Glimpses of Wonder and Warfare and met a great group of guys. Danial loaned an army to Hayden (my son) and walked us through a full game. It answered many questions and since then Hayden and I have played a few more games (he beats me every time... never seen anyone so lucky with dice...).
Of course lots more questions, but we are getting the hang of it and I'm really enjoying the game and my son seems to be getting obsessed with it.
So lets start off with some questions.
First, How in the name of hell do you make a coherent army list. I'm using the official website's Army builder, but so much doesn't make sense. So where is it listed what i can and cannot take? Example, I want to take Grunts. Cost 10 each, so why if i wanted to (which I don't) can I not just take 10 of them for 100 points? I do more than 3 and I've broken some rule that I see nowhere. Some guys you can only take one of, but those at least have a SWC cost higher than 0. The rules don't explain much about it themselves so I just keep clicking things till it works.
Second, 300 points is what I'm working towards for Army size, but with the USAdriadna you can't do that with 10 models or less. So I'm suppose to take a second Combat group, and that is whee I get lost. How does that second group work? Do I need another officer? Do they go during a separate turn so i get two turns? Things like that.
I start with those and go from there. Looking forward to more games!

Got the Tatooine expansion on the way and ordered the Hoth one too for sometime later this month. Replayability hasn't been too bad when you have different people play empire. But so far it still seems you can't win as a Rebel without the wookie on your team.

To me, Rey was Jania Solo, Ren was Jacen Solo from the universe they turned into "LEGENDS"
What I want to see, is what happened when Kylo confronts Luke after killing all his padawans (the scene you see when she touches the lightsabre)
It was cool though that Han forgave his son even as he did the deed, wiping the tear from his sons face. He saw the struggle and with his last act showed that even with his own murder he still loved him.

Played the hell out of this. On the Hoth map, played enough I got into every vehicle and played as both Luke and Vader multiple times. Playing as Rebels, and once the other rebels figure out what they needed to do to win (hold the Y-wing points for as long as possible... got up to 10 Y-wings in one attack once... bye bye AT-AT), take ION grenades for AT-STs, and we were winning the Hoth assault more times than the empire was.
Funny thing, my only real complaint was that stupid one shot sniper rifle... dang people are stupid crazy accurate with those. getting sniped from clear across the map...
Absolutely loved getting into an AT-AT... and the sounds when it fires... ahhh such bliss
Can't wait for the full game!

LOL me too. i was working towards perfect children too
Anyone notice the robot only picks up caps and not that many either when sent to the waste? 21 hours and I called him back because he only collected 321 caps

Dumbed down version of the roll-playing version with more structured missions. Easier to understand and play without truly knowing all the expansive knowledge you need to play a role playing game.

Got this last week. Just finished the campaign with my wife and kids. The rebels won every single freaking mission but one! (I was the empire) I threw everything at them and my wife and daughter rolled dodge on that white dice so many freaking times it was insane. The big thing was that you can occupy the same space as some one and that made a world of difference. My best friend as the empire? A focused E-Web! (insert evil Palpatine laugh).
From reading the posts above I think the fact there was only three Rebel characters made the difference. That gives them the HEROIC bonus which is more health and also a free activation token that can be shared so each turn one of the Rebels gets to go twice. It was used to 'Rest' quite often when it wasn't used for the dang Wookie to cleave through my Stormtroopers.
Anyone with experience want to maybe get a skirmish game in during OFCC? I'll bring the game.

SPOILER ALERT!!!! LOL
I did forget it. Though could have been luke hallucinating due to the pain of his lost arm and the trauma to his psyche upon learning his mortal enemy was also his creator.

Does anyone on PC and have Steam play this?
My internet is very inconsistent over here in Afghanistan, but I have been able to play this game from time to time.
It has been fun till I got to the 2nd Tier tanks and the grind is crazy hard. But then again maybe I should just focus on playing the tanks I have nad not worry about the grind, that might just be the point.
Planes seems to work very well. My Tier 1 planes can take on Tier 3 pretty decently so there isn't as big of a gap.

The problem sometimes arises where the restrictions make you buy and paint units you don't want In your army to make it a viable army. Some restrictions are fine as we have almost always had them, but I must say I find it interesting that those who push for them the most are the very ones who have very strong armies when it comes time to play.

Got it during the last Boarderland Tourny as my buy in. The family has had a freaking fantastic time playing it. First game was long as we learned it, but then after set up we can get a game done in 45min or less.
Definitely made for kids and their parents. Good nods to our generation. Like the Dire bunny who eats fully laden swallows.

I will be there. Probably won't get a list turned in in time though!

Looking Forward to this tomorrow!

So my son asked (practically begged which is odd for him) to get into Magic the Gathering. I haven't played since 1994. So we got two starter decks and are trying to play. Damn I'm almost addicted again. But I have some questions.
First, there is still summoning sickness right? So when you place a monster unless he has haste he cannot attack till your next turn but can defend.
Second, can you block one attacking monster with multiple defenders?
Third, My son's deck has cards that ask for 'Tribute' and I'm trying to see where I am suppose to get the 1/1 counters, I'm not talking about in real life but do I have to take stats off my creatures or is there a pool of them I'm suppose to have?
-
I can see this as a very valid tactic! You think you are going to lose so you do that at the end of your turn and then plan on losing in their turn to try and make sure so on your next turn the unit that beat you can be targeted by magic/shooting or multi-charge. I love it!

I'll be there with my High Elves Skirts on!

Biggest problem is the AI can get stuck on a wall especially their large creatures. But if you make a wrong move, it can perma kill one of your favorite characters, so keep that in mind.
