honestly I was amazed that they were S5 to begin with. Most stuff is either S5 or T5 not both. Trolls are S5 T4, and crypt horrors are S4 T5.

they look good with the exception of the arms. maybe some greenstuffed sleeves or something. 

the treeman definitely looks better with that paint job, but i agree that they could have made it look more tree like.

I think the reason the treeman looks off is cuz they painted it oddly. As soon as someone paints it to look like a tree instead of whatever they were going for, it will look a lot better.

2500 is the average size game. Every once in awhile tournaments will do different point limits like 2400 or 2800 but its mostly 2500.

I think it would be a good idea to talk about the fantasy tournaments as well. The list for the Pacific NW Masters tournaments was posted and we are the only one who does not have a date figured out. If we want to be taken seriously we need to get on it. 

Kevin, Greyson, Joey and I were discussing going as a team to the fantasy event. 

Priests of Shallya in the fluff are said to not partake in fighting with the exception of nurgle. So you could throw into the armies fluff that they are fighting a nurgle warband and have a warrior priestess of Shallya modeled.  

Here is a link to that formation I was telling you about last night. It uses a bunch of archers and archer detachments in addition to some big blocks of troops. Hope this helps you think of ways of running MSU or MMU empire.

Thanks for the advice Sherbert. I am looking at Ostland and Wissenland again though I thought Ostermark was Forrest Green and Blazing Yellow? (Not my favorite choice.)

 

And the thought of having other units is one I waz trying to get at with the Swords lf the Emperor. Averland took a Huge hit and is still rebuilding its army and capital after the books. So other Provinces and City States sent in troops to bolster their army. Mostly Nuln and Altdorf.

your thinking of Sitrland, the poorest province which is between Averland, Talabecland and Ostermark. As for the books you are referencing, I have not read them so I cant comment on the fluff surrounding them. 

I agree with HeroZero, It would be nice to see some lesser known lightly orders grace the table. 

Averland gets done a lot (I have a averland army), so i would suggest going for a Province that doesnt get done as much. Ostland can be very striking with black, off white, and red. I dont know if I have ever seen a Wissenland army with red, grey, black and a little yellow. Talabheim gets done a lot as well but not Talabecland. Ostermark is another province that I dont think I have ever seen, they have off white, magenta/red, black and a little yellow. It seems like the armies that get a lot of attention are, Averland, Middenland/Middenheim, Talabheim, and Reikland/Altdorf. As long as you stay away from those you should have a very unique army.

Another option is to have mercenaries from adjacent provinces. This is something else I did to break up my army. I have a unit of handgunners, and a mortor from Nuln and a unit of archers from stirland. You could go for the skittles empire army and have each unit be from a different province or city but those armies look very busy. 

I find character can be added to an army by painting the knights as an order instead of the same theme as the army. You could go either for a fluff theme or a similar paint scheme. For example, my Averland army is supported by a large group of Knights of the blazing sun, which fits both categories.

more like went and sat in the [big bad swear word]hole known as the Horseshoe for an hour waiting for service. We waited 15 minutes before a waitress even notices are existence while they sat down and chatted at other tables. I hate that place, every time I have gone, I have gotten terrible service and their food is expensive and really sub-par. Not to mention Andrews Reuben resembled a piece of charcoal it was burnt so bad.  

Im not really sure about the inner workings of whats going on or how its happening, but Paul said he was helping Aidon by getting in contact with game stores in the south. So I dont think its a schism or something, just a lot for 1 person to handle. Again, Paul will be up here to play some games on Friday, so if you can you should stop by and chat.

No, his name is Paul. He is handling the southern area while Aidan is in control of the north. According to my friend the only reason we are being considered for the circuit is his connection to me. I guess Aidon didn't think the hamsters were worth contacting. Paul will actually be coming up to bham next Friday to play some games. maybe we could get together at some point and talk stuff out.
