So I now have the weekend off. Is there still room for one more?

Dang I work that weekend. But I haven't taken any time off in like a year. Could be a good excuse.

Woot woot. 43-8 holy crap didn't see that coming.

I just played against this list. I think there really is some room for improvement. The skyslashers really didn't do anything and I think the Swarmlord isn't a good fit. The mawloc was the star of the show. That guy hurts the back field. Also the broodlords did some good work pinning my assault squads a couple of times and then eating one of them in combat. In the end Mephiston won me the game fighting his way through shadows of the warp. The 30 gaunt squad was also impressive.

Why stop at 40

With all the hate about the new tyranid codex it really makes me want to play it. Anyone looking to part with some bugs?

Some stuff I really want

Flying have tyrant

Gaunts, lots of gaunts

a tervigon

gargoyles or hormagaunts

I would be interested in anything else you have but those are the top of the list right now.

Lootas should be ten man, you do not want fearless lootas.

So 3 ten man units for sure.

 

Your warboss should be on a bike.

Drop the big Mek for another bike boss.

 

Split the mega Nobs into two units of three mount them in trukks with reinforced rams.

 

Drop the Ard Boyz and Grots. Buy three units of 20 shoota boyz

 

Drop the kannons

Buy a third deffrolla battle wagon.

 

Reduce the bikes down. They are just delivery wounds for the double bosses.

I like a lot of the ideas but don't have the points for all of it.

Splitting the lootas into 3 units is a good idea and dropping the mek for another biker boss is also a good idea. If I drop the ard boyz to normal boyz I will have the points to do it. I don't have the points for two squads of nobz in trukks and get 20 more boyz. I could drop the kannons for another wagon and split the nobz into 2 wagons, or just keep the big nobz squad and drop the grots for 13 shoota boyz in the third wagon. I will have to play a few games different ways to figure it all out.

The KFF goes with the battle wagons. The Defense Line would be good for the lootas and cannons but do very little for my battle wagons.

So I have been playing with my orks a little bit and they are great fun. Trying to make them as competitive as orks can be. Tell me what you think.
