Has anyone gone to seigeworld? As I get more and more miniatures that unlimited apocalypse event looks more and more entertaining.
I've added a few models to my army, a set of regimental advisors, tech priests, psykers and moar commissars! I have a full platoon of Tempestus Scions at the same time as well.
I think the next thing I need is a new carrying case, I am looking at the battlefoam 1520 xl....

I thought the trade was gonna fall through....but I ended up getting the Tempestus, I have the armies glued in the poses but not attatched so I can paint their beautiful chest details.
I also assembled some random heroes for my IG

The Dragon Lance Villain series. I love reading about a villian for a change.
I've only gotten through Behind the Mask-this one is about Verminaards who is the Dragonlord that appears in the first chronicle book. By the end of it you just get excited by the difficult choices which he has to make.
I am in the middle of The Black Wing which is about a black dragon which is a very interesting perspective.

That's the plan, is there a challenge round? Because I challenge you... to shots and mayhem ... and maybe some 40k
There is no challenge round sadly.

The dual frag/Krak seems to be a good versatile option for either anti-armor or anti-horde.

You could do a woman in a wedding dress with armed guards...maybe even chains as well.

Hehe I am so excited for this. I pulled out my ships and am gonna start painting the unpainted ones.

So I have a paper planet, a space station and some minor defence outposts but for ships I have.
375 Apocalypse Class Battleship
- rogue traders x4
- transports x3
240 Firestorm x6
370- 430/ 380 Tyrant/dominator x2
360 – 400 Lunar x2
360 Gothic x2
120 Cobra x4
440 Dictator x2
220 Dauntless x2
Space marines ships I think x3
Thats at least 2500 points with no admirals or any options taken.

Lets list points or models if you don't know their point costs.
Are people willing to let other people use some of their fleets?
Are we gonna do 1500 per side or per person? Looks like we have 3 or 4 people, I wouldnt mind having a huge fleet engagement. I'll post up what all I have, but I know I only have Imperial.
I think I have a small bag of escort tyranid ships, is anyone interested?

I've been moving models through the stripping process and getting them all primed up. Mainly need to prime tanks as most of the infantry I have is already primed, most of the tanks I got were second hand and needed to be stripped.
I've also been building scions with their weapons and arms built but unattached so I can try and paint some of the great details on their chests. I love those models.

I don't recall 40k ever being balanced, but I agree, it has become less balanced. That said, I'm not seeing any indication that GW has learned from their mistakes, I expect the next edition to be even less balanced. Only thing that seems like an improvement is that their CEO is now more PR friendly (doesn't seem to be doing anything different, aside from being more friendly).
As for editions. I'd be fine with an updated version of this game. I don't want to play a different game entirely, even if it has the same name. 4th edition D&D was fun, but it wasn't a good sequel to 3rd or 3.5 edition D&D. Warhammer Fantasy was fun, and did need an update. AoS was not an update, but an entirely new game. If I'm going to play an entirely new game, I'll go pick one out instead of letting someone else pick for me.
Regarding sales, I don't think edition changes are needed to make lots of money in this hobby. Yeah, they can update the books, but changing the edition seems counter productive. And if they plan to switch to a free rules format, there's even less reason to switch editions. We still have yet to have a single edition where every codex is current...
The change from 2nd edition D&D to 3ed edition was almost a complete rehaul of the game instead of a version update.
Games can change for the better.

Good to hear! If people wanna post up who they will play for/ what ships they will bring we can build some teams!
-
I agree with that. Do we want to mess around with any sort of mission?
Does anyone have good terrain?
-
So are we just gonna use the 2010 rules compendium or do we want to mess around with any more of those rules that Zorcon shared?
-
You are selling a cerberus with one door missing and no sponsons, partially painted and with some conversion for maybe $7 dollars off if that price includes shipping?

Wait what is the 6th marine in the 3ed squad equip with again?

Baneblade is super overpriced for adding more of what a guard army already does cheaply

And all of those are the links I shared in the stickied thread wooooo.
Yeah Imperial versus chaos sounds super fun, how many points do we want to play each and/or total? Do we want to do a huge battle? Cuz that'd be cool

I was indeed thinking of Friday night, I really only have some Imperial ships. I'll count up some points.
Are you doing any events Friday? I was thinking maybe of doing kill team.

How is the new edition? I haven't played in a while but while organizing all my miniatures I stumbled across inbuilt boxes of Germans and that got my interest piqued again.
