June 9th I'll be helping players learn the basics of the new edition and go over list building. Come on down and learn a new game!

Well, I should be there sometime after 5. BigTal is going to play as well so I'll catch a ride from him.
-
George - when do you think you will be there on the 9th? Just wanting to firm up times and stuff to be there.
-:)

I'm not sure what time it opens up. I've never actually been to a game night so I don't know how it works there.
-
Ya, I'm never going to Red Castle ever again. The first (and last) time I went, because it was right by where I was living at the time, thinking this could be a closer place to game now and then. My roommate and I walked in and stood in front of the warhammer area, then over to the register. 20 minutes go by and not one "hi" or "how may I help you". There were just a few people in the back at a table being obnoxiously loud. I walked over to who I assumed was the employee, and asked how the warhammer scene was there, tourneys or even just game nights or pick up games. The f**ker had the gall to roll his eyes like I'm f**king inconveniencing him, and I just turned around and walked out.
Usually I like to give people second chances.
Not this f**ker. He probably lost that place thousands in business from my roommate and I alone.
I really dislike when stores act like this. It's happening more and more.
-
not sure if this is the place to ask, but do any of you local chaps know of cheap places to crash down there? would be nice to stick around long enough to have a few too many drinks after games!
Depends on your definition of cheap. There are quite a few hotels all very close to the event spot.
-
Hey George, what's the registered player count at so far?
I believe we are at 7 unofficially. I'll know more when the count comes from the store.
-
What I'm planning on is playing games straight out of the operation icestorm quick start rules. We can probably go past the first mission and get into the second one. I'll need someone to bring theirs because I don't own Icestorm. I just want to give everyone the basics on how to play and we'll go over list building as well.
-
I can show up on June 9th game night and help people learn the game. I'm running the Friday Infinity tournament at the OFCC this year. Everyone bring their stuff and we'll run through the basics and get in some demo games for everyone.

Was super excellent to meet you guys at Card Kingdom!
Doing my best to twist ears and get people to commit to going to this event!
Thanks especially to George, who was a more gracious opponent than any I have met in the face of such horrifying dice.
It was great getting to see everyone there also! Can't wait to get some more games in.
Chris, it was a fun game regardless of the dice rolling!
Let's get the word out! If we can grow the Infinity community, we can start having larger tournaments, possibly even a two day event!
-
From your description, I assume the tournament will not be using the spec-ops rules, is this correct?
That is correct. No Spec-Ops.

I've updated the original posting with all of the information for the tournament.

Cool. I would also suggest that if there is going to be paint judging like OFCC seems to love that the forces should be displayed after the event so as to not alert your opponents to your hidden information such as TO troops and AD troops
That is a good point. I hadn't thought about it. I'll come up with something to make it fair for everyone but not take too long.
-
So are you doing ITS missions with multiple lists or how is this going to be run? I am thinking of going but I just want to know what to paint.
It will missions from the new ITS and you will be allowed two lists. I'm hoping to have a post up within the week that will explain everything. For now, if you read it in the new ITS, that is how it's going to be.

I have two problems:
1. July 16th is a Thursday. I keep reading that the event is on Friday. This is conflicting.
2. It says the Infinity event costs $20, and that there are tickets available. Yet when I click on the link, the store has neither an event ticket named Infinity nor any ticket that costs $20.
Sorry about the bad information. The date for the Infinity event is Friday July 17th. Friday tickets for all events are tied into one ticket, "OFCC Friday Ticket". The amount is $25. Hope this clears it all up.

Tickets for the Infinity event are now in the store. Please buy your tickets. If we don't get enough pre-paid tickets, the Infinity event will not happen.
-
I'll be running the Infinity event on that Friday. It will be 300 points and we'll be running it as an ITS event. I'm just waiting for CB to release their 2015 ITS packages and I'll put the packets together and list the missions.
-
Yes! I will be pre-ordering it as soon as it's available.
-
Joel posted that the cutoff is June 1st.

Dice Age only has Operation: Icestorm boxes. I didn't see any others. I buy all my Infinity mini's at Miniature Market. They usually have a pretty big selection and 20% off of retail.
-
I like it. It's very fluffy and would do well at OFCC.

It's pending at the moment from someone that contacted me first. I'll let you know if it falls through. Meeting at the Rampage is very possible.

Here are some links to help people figure out their armies.
N3 Profile list. It has all the profiles from the three current books. They are broken up into factions. The main book is listed first, followed by Human Sphere and then Campaign: Paradiso.

Army 5 army builder program. It's not perfect but it works.

Aleph Toolbox is another army builder. It's pretty basic but gets the job done. I don't know if it's fully updated or not.

Another army builder is Mayanet. It's exclusive to the apple iOS. So if you have an iPhone or iPad, this program works great and has some cool features.
