First IG "Codex/Supplement" dropped. Well... Pre-released quietly actually on 4/5/2014, it looks like.

The "Astra Tempestus". Basically they seem to be a cross between brutal Spartan kids in battle training and Enders Game style starfleet academy training. Whew.

Well i feel like the book has gotten too powerful, especially with all the psykers that can now access divination.

I know that you've played IG  I feel I'll get flamed less for being technically incorrect than not ;P) for many a year now - how do you feel that this codex overpowers them. I know nothing of the glorious guard, start low on the totem pole if you don't mind

I just thought of a use for Ratlings Shoot and Scarper rule that Reecius might not have considered in his review here.  30 points for a BS4 unit that can duck back inside a fortification after coming out to fire the Icarus or Quad gun on top, and enjoy a 3+ cover while up there ain't too bad.

Can you play 40k earlier, say 3pm @ DTG? You could play IG and then do EFB and Btech after 5:30. If not no worries.

Many people may want to play with or against IG, but unfortunately, it will never happen again.

Sorry, to clarify: Do you want to  play with your IG or your army vs. Guard?

Got that a little mixed up I think. The take away I had was that there was no prescience and iron arm at the same time. I think it is was biomancy and telepathy or divination and pyromancy that were allowed either way you still get all of the change spells.

Sorry - typo - it's Bio/ Tele on the left and Div/Pyro on the right and yes thank goodness for all the change spells though 8 warp charges (for 2 heads) would have been nice. broken but nice.

So while playing Kairos Fateweaver as my warlord for something like the 15th time today I was prompted to look at his entry in the codex for some minor reason and to my horror realized that he can only cast with one head per turn. meaning that you get Biomancy&Divination or Telepathy & Pyromancy for the duration of the turn.

.....yeah

whoops. Reading the codex again.
