  1. Thanks for the game Chappy and thanks for the input Murphy. What's MSU mean? I am in the process of reworking the sizes of my blocks. I hear what you're saying about the dragon but I think I might run with it for the time being. I really like it for fluff reasons.

Also I acquired some undead and would like to try running Lore of Undeath. Do you guys have thoughts about whether that stuff is considered official rules or bonus campaign?

  2. I am new to WOW and pretty new to Fantasy (I have played total of 5 games). Will there be open play on Sunday and does my army have to be fully painted to participate? Most of my army Isn't I have about 2400 points of Wood Elves that I have been building for a few months and I'd like to get a game in.

  3. I read the entry on craig's list and I get this:

If opened and assembled, one should always verify how they are assembled. You would not believe some of the "assembled" models you can get...

Not to mention, sometimes the primer is applied so thickly that the models aren't worth anything at all.

And the third common issue is that a model the player thinks they have a certain model that is not the one that GW thinks of when listing the MSRP. It could be that the model is more valuable (rare) or less valuable if not using the correct MSRP when calculating the price.

At present, your price is pretty high for models without pictures. The MSRP of the listed models is $109, with your asking price at ~70% of MSRP. For reference, it's pretty common to acquire brand new models at 80% MSRP, like directly from a retail store. Mind you, congrats if you can sell them like this, no pictures and all.

I added pics to the Craigslist post.

  4. Have the following units for trade. All are Crimson fist so all are blue or primed.

    A. base coated and dry brushed Storm Raven. Still needs some work. Has lascanons and Meltas installed.
    B. 3 man centurion devastator squad. Small magnets installed and all 3 weapons available. Unit is primed only.
    C. 3 man centurion assault squad. One is painted and the other 2 are primed
    D. 5 man vet vanguard squad. 2 painted 3 primed. Kited with thunder hammers, relic blade, storm shields and thunder claws.
    E. 1 Lone Terminator
    F. 1 Lone Space Marine Captain

I am interested in Hammer Heads, Broad Sides, Bomber, Fire Warriors and Crisis Suits. Thinking about starting Nids so will entertain trades for an HQ, troops, elites and/or codex. Also accepting cash, $100.00

  5. Starter Dark Elf army for sale. Between work, family and 40K I don’t have enough time or money to pick up an additional hobby. I purchased all this stuff with the intent of delving into fantasy but think I will just stick with the round bases. My loss is your gain. I am open to Tau or Space Marine trades but cash is king, $170.00 for the lot. Its a STEAL!

    1 (Unopened) recent Hydra model

    1 Painted Sorceress.

1 (Unopened)  Deck of Dark Elf Magic Cards

    1 Dark Elf Army Book

1 Warhost of Naggaroth. I have assembled 20 Spearmen from this set. It wouldn’t take much work to pull them apart and turn them into Crossbowmen.

    1 (Unopened) Movement tray kit

  6. So after a lot of back and fourth with this awesome community it looks as though I won't be able to make it this week. I'm a new driver and the roads are too slick for my taste.

I have taken everything everyone has said into account and I think I am "close" to making a choice. I am at a toss between Dark Elves and Ogres. If I am feeling real bold I might try and field some grey models next Sunday. We'll see.

    Thanks again!

  7. So the way everyone talks about selecting an army is sounds as though a person should

    A) Figure out the look and general style of play they like

    B) Pick up an Army book and get a sense of the troop choices

    C) Build your army AFTER you have gone through the book

That sound right? There are some of references and acronyms being batted around that I assume I would understand more after learning about the Armies.

Are O&Gs that bad for a new person? Their random high jinks  peeks my interest a little curious. Though their high model count may quell that. Can the Black Orcs keep things in line (mostly)?

    Thanks,
