I have already begun using a webcam to play D&D remotely since my group is spread all over Oregon.
Good idea. Keep us updated.
Won't work for me since my house is next to busy street. Editing out the street noise would take a lot of time, if it could be done.

This would definitely help the West Germans since they never could add just a Plt of LEO2 or LEO1 without adding another formation. With the new rule I would be able to add a plt of LEO2 to a LEO1 formation or vice versa.
I had the same thought in US Armoured Combat team: M1 Abrams vs. M60 Pattons. Now I can try diff mixes of those two tanks

The Game stores in our area - Oregon and Washington - are moving (or already have moved) in the direction of no in-store gaming for several weeks or more.
What are you doing to keep you hobby active and to beat back the tabletop blues?
- Trying out solo wargaming.
- Playing only with my homies in a garage or basement or on a dining table.
- Painting my backlog of mini's.
- Super-detailing my painted stuff.
- Making terrain, 'cause I have no terrain at home.
- Expanding an existing army.
- Trying out a new force.
- Building out historical 'sparring partners'. Then maybe try #1,above
- Running or joining an online mini's campaign.
- Posting Articles or videos to motivate myself and others.
- Some other creative approach to keep active.

Dogs-of-War 2020 being rescheduled
It is with great reluctance that I have decided to reschedule our Dogs-of-War 2020 Flames of War tournament, from April 11th to late August, 2020. I am looking at SAT, AUG 22nd or SAT, AUG 29th as the new date for the event.
This new schedule assumes that the restrictions or advisories against large gathering of people due to the COVID-19 virus will no longer be in effect in late August.
Although our event likely would have had a maximum of 15 players, which would put our event far below the threshold set by the CDC (“CDC Recommends Against Gatherings Of 50 Or More”), our hobby is also very tactile, which is one of the primary vectors for the COVID-19 virus. We also have several members of our gaming groups that are in the CDC ‘at risk’ category.
I apologize for any plans that are disrupted by this decision. I believe it is the prudent thing to do, given our current situation.
Once I have a firm date for the new reservation, I will update our promotional communications in all locations where “Dogs-of-War 2020” announcements have been posted. -

Updates from News groups and the state government/governor's web sites, FRI, MAR 13:
- Enfilade! 2020: As of this week, the board members of NHMGS have not yet cancelled the Enfilade! 2020 event. They are monitoring Washington State and Thurston County policies concerning public gatherings and efforts to contain the COVID-19 virus. Olympia is in Thurston County. Check the NHMGS web page for if you have heard otherwise.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
- Thurston County (WA) declares local emergency, prohibits events with 250 people or more. March 12th. According to the resolution, gatherings with fewer than 250 attendees are prohibited unless organizers take these steps.
- WASHINGTON: Public gatherings and events of more than 250 people will be banned in Pierce, King, and Snohomish counties as the state tries to slow the spread of coronavirus, Gov. Jay Inslee announced Wednesday. The prohibition will run through March and is likely to be extended, possibly for months. It also could be extended to other counties depending on the spread of the virus.
- A similar statement is here: "Inslee issues emergency proclamation that limits large events to minimize public health risk during COVID-19"
- OREGON: In Oregon, on March 11, Governor Kate Brown issued a similar statement: “Effective immediately, all large gatherings in the state of Oregon over 250 people will be canceled for four weeks,” she said. See the full announcement at oregon.gov "Governor Kate Brown Announces Forthcoming Orders on COVID-19” March 11, 2020.
Note: I will not be updating this thread unless or until there is an UPDATED official statement from NHMGS about the status of Enfilade! 2020.
Since I provided the links to each FLGS, above, I will also not record here any changes in their polices.
As always, this thread is open for comment...

The second edition rule book for WWIII: TY has a new Force diagram example from the latest British TY book.
On page 77 of the rule book, this addition will look familiar to FoW gamers:
"FORMATION SUPPORT:
You may field compulsory
Combat units (with a
black box) from the
above formations
as Support Units."This force list option has existed for FoW gamers for some time, but this is the first time that option is available for WWIII:TY.
You should expect that this page "Team Yankee Force Diagrams (2017)" will be updated or replaced with new force diagrams to include this change.

As of this posting, I have not seen any changes on the web sites nor on FB pages for these game stores, to indicate major changes in schedules, policies nor events:
- Guardian Games in Portland, OR - GG-web GG-FB
- Oregon City Geeks & Games, in Oregon City, OR - OCGG-web OCGG-FB
- Gabi's Olympic Cards & Comics in Lacey, WA - GOCC-web GOCC-FB
- The Game Matrix in Lakewood, WA - GM-web GM-FB
- The Panzer Depot in Kirkland, WA - TPD-web TPD-FB
However, that may change, given the changing situation and advisories around COVID-19 virus.
I encourage everyone who goes to gaming events and game stores to check the web and social media for those events and locations before you go, to ensure that your activity will still occur.
If anyone in our regular groups opts to remain at home for an event, please communicate that intention with your friends/fellow gamers.
If you are hosting an event, and intend to cancel, then please communicate your cancellation ASAP, with the hosting locale and your participants.
