For question 2, cards can still be used as inducements. This question is simply for the free cards that are acquired by both teams at the start of the game based on the highest team value of both teams.

    Beauty thanks.  Voted

  2. The new Dwaf team will be available on Feb 4th.

Also another errata and FAQ document (pdf warning!!):  https://19070-presscdn-0-68-pagely.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/BB-FAQ-webready.pdf

The number of different book and documents you need to have the full rule set for this new version of the game is ridiculous.  GW is lucky this is such an amazing game because this release has been a complete cluster****.  I'm kind of hoping they go back to ignoring the game for another decade.

  3. Ideally I would give people at least a full season to prep for the changes. That is one of the reasons for not doing it this time. I also want to let other leagues play around with it and see what Thier experience is.

Thanks and that is more than fair.

Also I assume since nothing was mentioned we are using the old MVP rule (random pick of anyone on roster at kickoff) as opposed to the new D3 one?

  4. I am back with my Necro from last season.

The rules pack says that we will not be re-drafting our teams "at this time".  How much warning would we get before this was changed for future seasons?  That could have a potentially very large impact on future roster and skill decisions.  For example I would have skipped the double on my Wight last season and taken a normal skill if I had any idea that something like this could come about.  It's obviously water under the bridge now, but would be a big change to drop mid-stream in a persistent league.

  5. New from Warhammer World via https://battlebunnies.blogspot.no/

    - We will see Dwarfs in January
    - We will get the Goblins in April
    - Orks and Humans will get seperate releases for their sprues
    - Plastic Ogre is done - maybe released in January. Plastic Troll is finished too!
    - They are currently sculpting a fat skaven star player
    - Grim Ironjaw (currently sculpted)
    - Dead zone season 2 coming in April with 2 Skaven special characters (amongst more).
    - There will be a Skaven booster done in Resin but with styles to match the plastic (2-3 new Gutter runners included).
    - Zugg was here today (sold out quick)
    - Skaven and Dwarf board is being produced now. Will be released soon.
    - Snow board will be restocked soon
    - Blood Bowl has done better than all GW expectations (they should listen to the community more)

  6. I mostly agree with michaels on the above.

Whether Piling On needed a change or not the one they came up with is silly and I think makes it a skill that willl never be taken, removing it from the game..  I have seen other ideas that are decent:  can only be taken on Big Guys (old version rule?), make it similar to a foul so a certain die roll gets the PO player sent off, or to the KO box, PO player has to roll armor, make fouling more effective, etc.  The removal of the skill hurts a lot of other teams more than the CPOMB Chaos and Nurgle; those teams already have the ability to remove players without Piling On.  It does hurt teams like Humans, Dwarves, Norse, Amazon, etc that need to remove players to stay competitive but now lose a major tool from the toolbox.

As far as Claw goes I don't get too worked up, but I rarely play at very high TV even online, can't see it being a huge issue in this league.  Also I have Werewolves.

I like Human Catchers as AV8 instead of cheaper but not enough to get worked up over it.

Wizards are a must have, especially if we are going to be adding new fresh teams to a league with teams that have already played a season.

As a Necro coach I love the new MVP rule, no SPP on Zombies!!

I do't know enough about any of the rest to really comment, though the rebuying of players would need to be carefully balanced. I've heard you get extra money for wins, TDs, Cas; if you aren't careful the strong teams could stay strong while weaker/newer teams might suffer.  Again don't know enough details to know for sure though.

My opinion on the cards is exactly the same as michaels, he hit every concern I have almost word for word.

  7. I am open to all ideas. I have not played before so not sure what format. Champion I would love to chat with you sometime and work out details. I have a ton of stuff on my plate as a new store but want to get something built and played. I do have a sign up sheet in the store.

OK I actually re-read and paid attention to your posts this time and I am absolutely interested.  I'll probably even buy the new box set from your store (don't be too flattered, I am very easy when it comes to spending monies on Blood Bowl stuff  ).

    Keep us posted here.

  8. I am very interested, as long as I don't have to own the new box set to play.  I assume I will eventually get it but I don't see anything there that I really NEED.

I have 1.7 copies of the 4th edition game including a full Human and Orc team, along with a bunch of other "3rd party" teams so I am fully capable of playing/hosting a match,
