There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Vaccinations are in full swing, and we are soon going to be able to safely hold Infinity Tournaments again! To get things off to an easy start, Jon and I have been planning to run a smaller, lighter Rose City Raid for 2021. All of the fun, half the calories (and players)!

This year we are limiting attendance to a select handful of 24 players, and the event will be held outside on a private vineyard.

    AUGUST 28-29

    SHERWOOD, OR

300 points ITS Season 12 rules, Red Classified deck, Spec Ops ITS Extra will be in use!

    Mission Lineup:

    1. Mind Wipe

    2. Annihilation

    3. Highly Classified

    4. Frostbyte (modified for N4)

    5. Panic Room

Enhanced Special Terrain Rules: Models with the Terrain (X) skill gain an additional bonus when they are inside their corresponding terrain. The Terrain (Total) skill does not benefit from these bonuses, and all Terrain skills get the usual +1” movement as normal.

    • Aquatic - Stealth

    • Desert - Sixth Sense

    • Mountain - Climbing Plus

    • Jungle - Dodge (PH+3)

    • Zero-G - Super Jump

Tickets will go on sale to people who registered for 2020 on May 31st, the remaining tickets will go on sale

Finally, proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required, no exceptions.

  2. Supremacy is the best scenario in my experience for "easy mode" gaming. I'd be happy playing a 3-round tournament of just that! You get to do all the things at the same time. Killing, scoring zones, pushing buttons, and bashing consoles.

If I had to add more, I'd say Supplies, Capture and Protect, and Frontline. That's a handful of easy scenarios, which promotes a variety of gameplay.

Hmmm well i start the new job in November.  I will be sure to drop in and check out the scene.  I'd like to give infinity a try again - although it is a bit crunchy for my tastes.  But I love the minis and the theme of things in the game.  Looking forward to trying it again actually.

Blood bowl I have not played in over a year, but I have a couple teams ready to go.  Kill Team is something I want to do as well.  I'd also like to see about getting some Gaslands played. Frost Grave... and a couple other odd ball games as well.

Is thursdays the normal night for all games of just table top stuff?  I guess I will need to check out their schedule lol.

    -d

Thursday nights is Infinity night, though there are some odd skirmish games that show up as well, it's my only game night, so also when I get some Warcry in, since some of the Infinity players also play that.

  5. Hey hey, we have a fantastic Infinity group going, I'm one of the two local Warcors. I've also been pushing to play more Warcry and other "kitchen tabletop" games on Thursdays as well, such as Warcry (which a few of us play) and Blood Bowl (I play and am getting others started with). I hear good things about their Kill Team group, though the bigger games, AoS/40k tend to be on the weekends, which is a no-go for me.

You really should come give Infinity another whirl, we have a very friendly group and everyone is very helpful to get into the game with.

  7. This league is for veterans and new players alike. Whether you’re picking up a new army, or are new to the game, this is a great time to play! All you need is a Starter Pack of your choosing, most of which contain enough models to get you through the first 2-3 weeks.

The goal of this league is to help get newer players ramped up with the rules of the game, and to familiarize ourselves with new factions. We will be starting off using Recon+ (a community-made ruleset for smaller games) missions to get used to playing, before moving up to using full blown ITS tournament missions. After the event concludes you can bring your armies to our monthly tournament on September 7th to put your skills to the test (don’t worry, we will be playing beginner friendly scenarios).

While this event is catered to new players, everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate! If you are considering starting a new army, then this is a perfect time to get them assembled and on the table to test out.

Yeah. This guy says that the ink is inside the vinyl, not on it, so while scratches can be visible, they won't eff up the image:

I can get a 4x4 mat for like $40. It'll take a while, coming from Russia, but if the quality is as good as the guy (and his reviewers) say it is, I might take the gamble.

Just make sure it’s actually 48 inches and not 120 cm. I don’t recall if they play metric or standard in Russia.

  9. Hey everyone!

As the Rose City Raid nears, we have expended the wait list, so any more drops will mean we have less than 40 players. While it's possible that nobody else will drop, there is a non-zero chance that we will end up with an odd number of players. That's where you come in!

I have 40 swag bags that I want to get rid of, as well as tons of other prizes. It's already bought and paid for, so if anyone wants to show up to the Rose City Raid, day of the event, and play stand-by, your ticket will be FREE, and you'll be fully eligible for prizes, and will receive the exclusive mini, just like any other player.

I can't guarantee anyone will get in, but if we have 37 registered players show up, and 3 players on stand-by, I'll get all of them in. If we have 37 show up and 2 on stand-by, then only one of you will get to play, since ultimately the goal is to have an even player count.

Worst case scenario you can still check out the event, drink beers, and hang out with fellow Infinity players.

  10. Just a reminder, we will not be printing out scenarios in our player packs, so please be sure to print them out for yourself if you need them! I would highly suggest downloading the Comlog app, it’s free, and very good!

Instead, we are making sweet notebooks to document your gaming experience, check them out here:
