I pre-ordered, but for Kill Team purposes. Want to get them painted and ready before LVO in case the rules come out. While it's not possible to be certain, they look like an incredibly flexible and powerful Kill Team.

Guardian Games is hosting a Warhammer 40K Kill Team Tournament on Sunday, Dec. 8th starting at 11am.

This will be a Commander tournament with games at 150 points and with players bringing rosters between 3 and 20 models (though I suggest bringing a full roster). Each roster can also include a single Commander that does not count against the 20-model limit. Each model in the roster must have its own Datacard (link below). We will be using several Arena expansion rules, including Arena Objectives, Ultra-Close Confines and Arena Competitive missions (all matches are 4 turns long, there is no scouting phase and no Killzone special rules).

Really enjoyed playing, when I could make it down to the club. Scheduling was a bit rough this summer.

I'd love to see more competitive events, so far it's been difficult to get more than 8 people to show up to tournaments.

I went to the GW store last weekend to play a demo game, and it was at 100 power level (about 2000pts of 40k) and it worked very well. The store owner said that they were playing 100pl games like crazy in Dallas when they went to the Citadel for training, the games took about 1.5 hours, and were tons of fun.

One of the main things that helps smaller games work is that HQ is optional for detachments (obviously there are advantages to having them). 

The rules look great, I am super excited to see what the command cards are, and I'm about to prime my first non-Kill Team models in 10+ years in anticipation!
