There's a fantastic article about sculpting, and it's filled with amazing terrain builds and model conversions & painting, as always.

The mud/dusty weathering on that claw is top notch.

This week the 2nd Exorcist, Imagifyer and Hospitaler will be done. Then it's on to some of the more savage ladies of the Bloody Rose.

Totally agree. I love the Vallejo metal color line.
For gold, I'd suggest Vallejo Liquid Gold (alcohol based, pain to work with, but best gold out there) or AK Interactive True Metal Gold (wax based, so white spirits, almost as good, way easier to control, can easily clean up mistakes, but you MUST varnish it, use Vallejo metal varnish or the gloss of your choice).

2nd Exorcist assembled (in sub-sections) and painting has started. Hospitaler likewise. Guardian didn't get their GW shipment on time, so I couldn't pick up the pile of boxes I was hoping to. They are allowed to stay open according to the current rules, so if they decide to I'll scuttle out on Tuesday to get the ladies I need.
Tuesday Edit: Walked a few miles, got some much-needed reinforcements for the sisters. More painting done, and Imagifier built, bases drying, and awaiting the next layer of grim-darkitude: skulls.
Finished her off finally. She was the test color scheme model that got picked. So she got her finishing touches and her base.

Love that color of blue, and great choice on the mars bases. Happy little color contrast.

Argh. Apologies, I have work obligations that are going to get in the way. Hopefully Sunday!

The Sisters will be there for 750pts of ecclesiastical fun.
The Emperor is on the side with the most artillery.

Will be there for some ecclesiarchy-approved fun in 40k escalation.

Is the kick-off for the escalation league today or Tuesday? I thought it was Tuesday but if today I can get there.
Edit: Aha! The event says 3/3 but the thread says 3/1.

Looking to nab a 40k learning game for escalation league. I've only got 500pts ready, so far, but am getting close to 750.

Sure, I'd be glad to do Sunday @NewPlayer

@Dark Trainer Up for a learning game this Sunday? I've got my first 500 assembled and by Sunday at least these ladies should be complete:

Not today. I need to go pick up an Exorcist and get that sorted. Right now I'm still building towards 500pts, and waiting/anticipating release of some key units like Imagifier, and I've got to sort something out for a Canoness. I'm hoping to be ready the week of the 17th.

Gotcha. That's what I figured was the case, just...you know, always ask the TO 😉
I'll have to get some 40k lessons in. I have been playing only Kill Team, I should hopefully be ready for some learning games this month.

Very interested in this, as I'm working on building/painting for a 40k Sisters army right now!

What are you finding your favorite stratagems are?
Before the dark times, I was really a fan of Blind Faith (for my VH exorcists to ignore those pesky flying things and Alpha Legion) and then I've used the "discard 1-3 miracle dice, add 1-3 to a roll" several times also.
I only got to 750 in escalation, but I've been working hard on my "very zealous supporters of the emperor and totally not Khorn-curious" Bloody Rose, so I'm expecting to use Tear Them Down quite a bit. (Ignore the chains and knives and skulls. Those are just enthusiastic implements of a loyal order militant.)
