Skkipper
My in-laws purchased a new patriot 105 for me for Christmas. I am very excited and eager to try it out once I get home. Any tips to help a new airbrush owner?
andy
I found that I needed to add one of these to my Patriot. PDX air is so damp that the water trap on the compressor couldn't handle the job by itself. Also, the Badger quick-release airline fitting is super useful. Casiarius
I've had a Patriot 105 for many years. It's great for basecoats, zenithal highlights, buildings and vehicles, but I've never been able to paint anything really detailed with it, as some people can. I have no real painting advice, but I will agree with Andy that the water trap and the quick disconnect coupling are both good. I have exactly the same coupling on my own airbrush. If your 105 is the same as mine, the default spray regulator that it comes with does not protect the tip of the needle from damage. I bent mine repeatedly and even stabbed myself with it before I got a new nozzle that actually covers the needle. Highly recommended.https://www.amazon.com/Badger-105-2Xr-General-Purpose-Regulator-175/dp/B00CNWG70U
