Vortex LOS

Are they barrage weapons, or do they just remove models as if barrage weapons?

I know they still haven't addressed the Vortex Aquilla Strongpoint, as it's missiles just point straight up and don't really draw LOS to anything (maybe it's suppose to deploy vertically.... ).

For precedence, are there any vortex weapons that also have the barrage rule?

Lol...found the answer. Plain as day in the Vortex Weapons special rule.

A weapon with this special rule is a Destroyer weapon and uses a blast marker of some
type (e.g. blast, large blast, massive blast, etc). Place the appropriate marker, roll for
scatter and apply damage
. For determining Wound allocation, always assume the shot is
coming from the centre of the marker, in the same manner as a Barrage weapon.

LOS isn't used at all because the rules are painfully simple for this weapon type. Just place the marker and scatter.

So then I assume that BS can never be used to reduce scatter distance as theres no way to trace LoS from the missile tips in cases were the target would otherwise be in LoS..

 Fair enough:)

Gotta work up some goofball list with the Aquila Vortex missiles then...see how many discs of death I can get floating around on the table

That sounds reasonable. Can't snap shoot either, being a blast weapon.
