I am in the process of reworking the sizes of my blocks. I hear what you're saying about the dragon but I think I might run with it for the time being. I really like it for fluff reasons. Also I acquired some undead and would like to try running Lore of Undeath. I would like to mention that a Dragon Lord is powerful but should not take on large units on its own. Losing your Lord to combat res sucks, so I would suggest having him backed up with Wild Riders or something else with tons of speed. That combination makes him far more survivable that him on his own, and a double charge with a flank is the bread and butter of Multiple Small Units army.
