So that is 238 bodies on the table almost all of which are fearless with the priests. The conscripts provide first turn cover by standing in the front and as long as one of the commissars is near by they are LD 10. Its not  power house list. Just really hard to grind that many fearless bodies. Other then running out of time every game do you think it would work?

All-infantry IG is potentially a viable list, although I think you're over-focusing on certain aspects. Just marching guys with lasguns and melee weapons forward isn't gonna win you the game against armies that are mobile enough to selectively engage you (e.g. bikes or Eldar) or armies that have enough firepower to cut you apart before you can crawl across the field (Tau, other IG.) You'll also have a ton of trouble across enemy melee lists that can match you punch for punch, like Orks and Khorne Dogs.

A stronger version would focus more on IG's support elements (including Orders from Yarrick combined with Lascannon blobs), long-range shooting (like Thudd Gun batteries and other artillery) and then combine that with an aggressive blob or two of melee elements to take midfield/enemy objectives and provide additional threat. Allies also can help a lot, such as a Librarius Conclave or Azrael, but they're not mandatory.
