McNathanson
So I'm a long time fantasy fig painter, but never really cared to do vehicles or large 40k-like things, just didn't find it fun. But I'm getting ready to paint some for playing and so I was hoping for some tips and pointers from all you armor-painting pros! Assuming I'm airbrushing the base color on, what then is fastest/easiest way to get clean lines of "dark" in the seams of armor, like these: What are the steps you use to get those seams and edge-of-seam highlights done? Thanks so much!! splinx
Gloss varnish spray or ardcoat, then grab some burnt umber oil paint, thin with paint thinners and let it run into the seams. It take longer to dry than normal paint but is easy and quicker! :) Hope that helps. Sam
