Guest
Is there a trick to getting the aerosol spray paint to not melt the styrofoam? I figure you must have to coat the styrofoam with something else, first, something that won't melt the styrofoam but will allow the paint to stick. Suggestions? If wondering, I'm working on making some custom antenna balls for friends and family.
VonVilkee
Watered down elmers glue works great to cover the foam and allow spraying. Make sure coverage is good if using school glue add very little water, glue all can be thinned more.
spagunk
If you have a lot of cheap black or white paint, you can try that. Just make sure you completely cover it. Glue works too if your goal is to spray on primer.
PourSpelur
Could do both. Craft acrylic mixed with watered down PVA. I've used it before and was happy with the results, makes missed spots easy to see.
