  1. Age of Sigmar is definitely NOT forbidden. The sour grapes are mostly because the Warhamsters used to be a WHFB club before expanding into other games, and the End Times saw GW replacing a beloved game into which folks had sunk a ton of money, time, and talent with a game that, while it might be great in its own right, was definitely not WHFB. In that way, Age of Sigmar is a reminder of what we once had. Also, it gives old farts a chance to grumble about kids these days.

  2. So, my ability to actively moderate this forum has waxed and waned over time. I don’t recall the specifics of why we were initially an invite-only board, but I think that time has passed. We should still keep supporting Ordo, because they have helped make us the glorious club we are today. But the comment about the difficulty in getting on these boards in the Infinity thread is totally legit. And on me. Because I have three kids and increasing responsibility at work.

How about we open these forums to the gorgeous, filthy, marvelous, unwashed masses of the world and make this board public? It would save me unnecessary work, and be more inclusive and welcoming.

  3. Playing Infinity with Nathan!

I haven't played Takenoko, but Smallworld is a really fun game - you'll love it!

Advanced warning - I may try and hit folks up for a Dark Curios playtest next week. Things have changed substantially since last iteration, and I think I may have hit something solid. The initial test was positive, I just want to tweak things a bit more and give it another try.

  4. I'd be down for it, Witch Hunters as usual, but ...

I agree that 10 or 9 weeks is pretty long. I can't promise I won't poop out. 6 weeks seems to be pretty reasonable if you want sustained play.

The other thing is, I thought we were gearing up for an Infinity campaign? We've been talking about an Infinity campaign in the fall that for aeons, since before the TNT campaign. Could the Mordheim campaign be delayed until after that?

  5. Kevin's cowardice knows no bounds! He has scheduled a last-minute trip to Pennsylvania to avoid facing my retribution for last week's drubbing. If anyone is up for a 2000 point game of 40k, I'm available. If not, I'll just plan on playing it by ear - if I'm down early enough, maybe Zombicide, if later I'll bring some Infinity models, if nothing else I'll just hang out, watch games, and go out to Bayou later.

You are WELL past your time to move to Bellingham, Yarb. It's time to take the family to someplace better. Whatcom Community College would be lucky to have you!

The game was a blast!  Even though Bobby gunned down Beaucephus the first round, I had a chance to revive him with my Sawbones... until Asshat ganked him between the shoulder blades with his golden golf club. Snaky McLickersdottir (a Walpurgis-era razor rattler model) avenged him, killing Asshat, and spilling Asshat's caustic blood all over the nearby Putin. LOVED the campaign, LOVED the scenario, LOVED my opponents (and campaign organizer)!

  7. Ran out, but could still reshuffle to refresh. I definitely think the combo of five dice plus reduced costs were the culprits. The problem with variable end conditions is that that last round for selling things off is really important. You have to plan for it throughout. If the end were a surprise, I think a bunch of folks would just be caught with their pants down. I want everyone to have the experience of taking in cash hand over fist at some point in the game.
