Is there going to be a 40K event?

Sorry about the delay in responding to both of you. Let me just state that the OF senate is still in the process of making an official OFCC announcement and thus, any specific info regarding HoG submission or what game systems will have events is still TBD. I'm hoping HoG submissions can start by Feb 1st and I think it's likely we will have at least one 40k event, but until we have an official announcement I can't guarantee anything.

Thank you for your interest and hope to be able to give both of you (and the rest of the OF club) some official information soon. 🙂

  2. THE PLACE

Location: 717 SE Main St. Portland OR 97214 (map) - Around the corner from Kokiyo Teriyaki and up the stairs. Cost to play games is $8 for Ordo Members, $3 for Ordo Warlord Champions, and FREE for Emperors & Imperators! As always, your first Game Night is FREE!

    THE GAMES

Games we play: All, with a focus on Warhammer 40k, Kill Team, Bloodbowl, Necromunda, board games and more.

While it is possible to find a pickup game at Game Night, it is much better to pre-arrange a game before coming downNew players are always welcome, feel free to stop by and check it out.

BUT WHAT ABOUT COVID-19, RSV, Flu, etc?

Although Oregon and Washington no longer have mask mandates, we still require all our players to be courteous and conscious of their opponents and other players around them.  If you're feeling ill in any way - please stay home, and make sure to communicate with people you've been in contact with.   Ordo will continue to have masks available for anyone to use, and we're happy to make certain rooms mask only if anyone requests it.

    GAME NIGHT EXPECTATIONS

Please be aware that as always, the Czar has the ability to ask a player to leave if the Czar feels it necessary. Game Nights are meant to be enjoyable, low-stress activities, so let’s have fun.

  3. @Kampfer and @BigMick37 I'm down to play either of you or you can play each other. As I stated previously though, I am a bit rusty as I haven't played a game in almost 6 months. I have four Kill Teams from the Compendium to pick from - Space Marines, SM scouts, Chaos SM, and DeathGuard. BTW, I would prefer to play earlier that day rather than later, so I can check out the Mordheim action when those players show up around noon.

Got room for another Mordheim player?

Hi there. Welcome to Ordo Fanaticus!

Just so you know, I believe @Wentwizard is running a specific type of Mordheim campaign. Here's a link to the sign up form and campaign info:

I think if you stop by on Sunday, you can chat him up for more info. I'm not sure how many total players will be there. Last time, we had 4 players and a couple of spectators.

  6. I figured I'd go ahead and post a notice for a Game Day next Sunday - 11/13. There is an OF Senate meeting scheduled for 1pm, so the big room will be reserved for that purpose. However, if anyone would like to schedule a game, the other rooms will be available for open gaming during 10am - 3 pm. Please post here if you plan on attending.

I'll be there, working on terrain in the morning and participating in the meeting during the early afternoon.

If you're looking to game we will be here. Opting to lay low? Stay home and stay safe, we'll catch you next time.

    BUT WHAT ABOUT COVID-19?

Due to the current Multnomah county mask mandate, all attendees must wear masks.  Players are encouraged to spread out their games and avoid congestion. Do not attend game night if you experience any of the symptoms found here.   Oregon's Mask Mandate expired on March 12th - but we do require all our players to be courteous and conscious of their opponents and other players around them.  If you're feeling ill in any way - please stay home, and make sure to communicate with people you've been in contact with.   Ordo will continue to have masks available for anyone to use, and we're happy to make certain rooms mask only if anyone requests it.

    GAME NIGHT EXPECTATIONS

If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s taught us we don’t need more stress in our lives. As a result, Ordo is expecting an even greater level of friendliness and fellowship at Game Night than our normal high expectations. Please be aware that as always, the Czar has the ability to ask a player to leave if the Czar feels it necessary. Games are meant to be enjoyed, so let’s have fun.

  8. I think the big question is this - Are there enough volunteers to make OFCC happen? Right now, the OF senate is about one-third the size it was back in 2019. Most of the Senate is currently occupied with simply ensuring that Game Nights and tournaments are still happening at our clubhouse. The next OFCC might not be big as the previous one, but if we can get a sufficient amount of volunteers to help out and organize, I think we can definitely make something happen. 😎
