  1. I tried uploading a scale comparison I found on google, but my work computer scolded me. It's no where near giant stature, but slightly bigger than a kroxigor it looks like. Another option may be the gator warbeasts from hordes/warmachine, but even that is still underwhelming for a giant.
  2. Wow, thanks for the responses folks. Always had a thing for the lizardmen, but it was the new carnosaur model that won me over. Apart from the aesthetics piece, the theme I'm picking up is that OK have a very different playstyle to my HE but lizardmen may offer more options over the long haul. My concern with OK is that it might come down to: shoot cannon #1, shoot cannon #2, move ogre block A straight forward until you hit something squishy. Oversimplified for sure, but you get the picture.
  3. Okay folks, Starting to set my eyes on my next WFB army and am in quite a quandary. Granted, my addiction runs deep and I'll likely collect my second choice at some point in the future, but my funds will be limited for some time to come. Narrowed it down to Lizardmen and OK, both of which hit many of my must haves in an army. Important points for me: 1) Ability to participate in every phase of the game 2) Good looking models, mostly plastic, and nothing essential too dated looking 2) Cohesive look 3) Cool looking centerpiece models/monsters 4) Enough versatility to not bore the hell out of me and options for fielding different types of armies 5) Low to medium size model count army (I'd like to avoid carting around hordes of models) With regard to the above points and your own experiences playing with or against these armies what are your suggestions, tips, or general observations. I can't really say that I have a specific play style, so information on how these armies play (if its rigid) would also be appreciated. Thanks
  4. Forgot to mention that the second image (my personal favorite) is from the Hell Dorado line, name is katrikeya or some such.
  5. Found several cool minis that may fit your needs, not sure of the scale though.
  6. hoping to make it tonight, waiting on our realtor to show us a house. I have a sneaking suspicion that my wife will want to make an offer, and I'll be wrangled into an evening of signing away my livelihood.
  7. Update: I'm willing to sell the above army for $475 (which includes the battlefoam bag $160 value). Which means that the MSRP of the above items exceeds the asking price, and you're getting a very well-painted army. Lucky you. In the event you would prefer a trade (and so would I), I'm still very interested in an ogre kingdoms or lizardmen army.
  8. I'd like one, although I don't have a printer or the means to laminate one. Please don't go through the trouble on my account, but in event that you plan on doing a batch for people than please count me in and I can pay you on Sunday. Thanks
  9. Lizardmen are primary, but I'd definately consider ogre kingdoms
  10. Just to update, I am open to full trade offers at this time. I also, have a warmachine battlefoam bag (good condition) to round out a trade if interested. Would still prefer lizardmen with some of the newer goodies, but would consider other armies that were more recently updated (no TK or WE)
  11. Stoked about this game. Saw a few additional warbands in the supplements, but are there 'sanctioned' rules for additional warbands (i.e. other WFB armies)
  12. This army has sold. Thanks folks
  13. Thanks Andrew, I'll take a gander at it. Odd seeing the words "free" and "GW" in the same sentence.
  14. I'd be interested in Mordheim as well, although I have no experience with it. I need something to satisfy my urge for a skirmish style game, and being complementary to WFB (models and fluff) makes it a perfect fit.
  15. I'm in, I think you fellas need some high elves to class up the joint, I hear that dark elves smell of poo-poo.
  16. Original listing updated. Added lizardmen to my wants list.
  17. Hey Art, Im planning to show up around 4pm with my double dragon high elf list(s). Provided that's not too late for you and you can tolerate me stumbling through a game with new models, I'd be interested in a game.
  18. I'm planning to be there, provided the everqueen doesn't wrangle me into house-hunting. Drak: Would you be up for that game we were planning on last week?
  19. And to think I was considering putting myself in harms way to play with my toys, I need to rethink my priorities. See you all next week.
  20. PM'd you back. Realized I'm more of an elf guy (maybe its the hair), and could just see the empire collecting dust for awhile.
  21. Sold. The empire army has found a new home.
  22. Indeed, the fancy lads will be wearing their sunday best. I'm debating over a couple different 2400 pt lists.
  23. 2800 is daunting at this point, how about 2400. Im not playing in either event, but feel free and use my poor high elves as a punching bag for any lists you're developing.
  24. Sounds good. I'll keep you posted if things change. Beware the big helmets
