  1. I kinda like how the Lords of War Tournament ran this past summer in Canada.  Each player had 15 War Scrolls max to build an army from.  For each game the players choose 8-10 War Scrolls with a max of 25 wounds per scroll, 80 wounds total in the army, 1-3 characters, 0-2 Warmachines and Monsters.  This allows some customization between games depending on opponents army and scenario.

  2. So I'm sure I'm confusing myself and not thinking this through completely but I'm stuck on the number of attacks a model gets. If the description states that a model is armed with 'X' weapon but the model itself has that weapon in both hands do I get to multiply the Attack number on the Warscroll by two? The description for the unit does not say anything about having the weapon in each hand. For example the Wrathmongers in Quest for Ghal Maraz says that they are armed with flails and have 4 attacks on profile. The description does not state that they have weapons in both hands but clearly the models have flails in both hands. Is the number of attacks 4 or 8 per model? Thanks...

  3. So how many people in the community have succumbed to the shiny new bauble that is Sigmar and his golden warriors? Are we seeing a trend of a lot of people playing the Sigmarites since they come in the box set or are people playing the armies they already have? Just curious really.

  4. So I understand that bases do not matter in AoS, but what are people's thoughts on converting existing models over to rounds and ovals? First off I think they look great and that's coming from a long time square baser who always poked fun at the "silly round basers"! What size are we generally going to use? Some models are easy like Ogres and Trolls who are on 40mm square and can transfer straight to equivalent round 40mm. Chaos and Orcs are also easy at 25mm but it would appear that the AoS starter has the Chaos boys on 32mm? What do we do with the Elves, Dwarfs and Men who are on 20mm now? I don't believe there is an equivalent 20mm round made, but maybe there is. I honestly have not done my research here. I guess that means they move over to 25mm? What about characters do they go on a certain size or whatever looks the best? Seems like the round bases have a ton more sizes than the squares.

So this is really just my musings on what others are doing. I plan on switching over-slowly. The painted stuff may stay on squares since that's how they were finished. Kinda like nostalgia and all that but the rest is going to change. Again, I realize that bases are not supposed to matter but I think that visually the game will look better if we had some structure to the base sizes especially if people start to house rule that bases will be used for in game measuring.
